Reduce the number of clicks when editing holdings from item screen
From the edit item screen, if you click into the holdings and edit the holdings and save, you need to click the BACK button several times before you get back to the item screen. This adds so much time to a simple process. Can this be considered in the Alma UX improvement? Thanks

Prevent choosing an invalid item policy when editing a physical item
When editing the information for a physical item you have the option to select an item policy that overrides the default fulfillment rules for the chosen location. The drop-down list shows all item policies available in the system, regardless if we have configured any corresponding exception rule or not. As we have several item policies that should only be used for specific locations this leads to confusion and mistakes. It is too easy to unknowingly set an invalid item policy without any warning from the system.

Display all holdings for physical items in the search results page
Currently you can only display a maximum of 5 holdings in the search results page. It would be good to be able to see all holdings in the search results page without additional clicks needed.

Allow user to specify "Do not pick from shelf" when using the Add Physical Item workflow
When you create an item for loan as part of the circulation desk workflow (via Fulfillment > Manage Patron Services > Create Item and choosing New), an Acquisition Technical Services work order is created, and Alma assumes (correctly) that the item is in hand.
When you use the manual item creation process (via Resources > Add Physical Item and choosing New), Alma creates a work order without asking if the item is in hand, and assumes (incorrectly) that the item needs to be picked from the shelf.

When entering periodicals, I can only choose a precise date under "Issue date". This is not working for all periodicals
Not all periodicals have precise issue dates. Some are seasonal (like Fall, winter, Spring and Summer), some are by quarters (1st quarter, 2nd quarter...) some have are weekly issues, ... Alma doesn't give the choice for these particular periodicals.
We need more date options to reflect the issue's period. Even something like Issue date: From X date to Y date, would be more accurate than what the date option actually offered in Alma right now.

We want to enable a user with Physical Inventory Operator role to run the job of “Change Physical Items
Background:
We want to enable a user with Physical Inventory Operator role to run the job of “Change Physical Items”. According to Alma doc, following roles can run the job:
* Repository Manager,
* Repository Administrator,
* Physical Inventory Operator
However, despite Repository Manager and Repository Administrator can run the job, Physical Inventory Operator does not have the option run any job. Besides, we only want the user to run the job of “Change Physical Items” but no others.

Fix Enum and Chron concatenation function in item editor and description templates
When editing/adding and item and entering Enumeration and Chronology information for serials, there is a function to "generate" (concatenate) a description of the issue. For some reason, it ignores the "Chronology J" field in this operation, and it should include it.

Add the ability to display the MMSID number in the results list from a physical item search
Add the ability to display the MMSID number in the results list from a physical item search. Having to open the bib or export the results to get the MMSID is inefficient.

Ability to select more than one set to run a job
I can only select one set when I run a job. As processing shelf reports and adding statuses via the shelf report function, I should be able to run the same job on multiple sets at one time. It's frustrating to have to keeping running the same job over and over for each set.

Add Location to Barcode Generation
Right now, you can set up Barcode Generation in Alma to be Library-specific, however within a library, it would be nice to be able to generate different Prefix+sequence barcodes for different locations. For example, it would be nice to set up Barcode Generation for Course Reserves in a Reserves location without having the same scheme auto-generating when receiving serials.

Ways to track the history of changes in Physical Locations configuration
We need a way to know if there is any change made in Physical Locations. It could be an email, or adding columns like Last Updated Date.

Include an item's total number of checkouts within the item record or physical item editor
There doesn't seem to be a way to view the number of times a item has been checked out, aside from going in the item history and manually counting every transaction. Frequency of use is an important data point for catalog curation and maintenance.

Add the option to "generate barcode" in the Quick Cataloging page
I want to generate a barcode in Quick Cataloging and be able to view the barcode on the Quick Cataloging page. Currently, it takes several clicks to get to the Quick Cataloging item's barcode once the item has been created. I'd like to be able to see the barcode before I save the item I'm creating.

Add a new Analytics element Call number prefix
It's found that there is currently not the element Call number prefix in Design Analytics. But in our library, we use call number prefix to identify different shelving locations. Identify the staff operator who marked an item as missing
When a user marks an item as "missing" in Alma, the history record for the process shows the operator as "System" rather than an operator ID. The operator who made the change should be identified in the history.Managers with the ability to identify the source of a problematic "Missing" status change can engage the source with questions or training as needed.

Change Chronology J numerical values into names of months or seasons in Description field in Physical Item Editor
For the purpose of sorting months in Chronology J, we have to put numerical values in it, for example 05 for May. However, when we generate the Description, 05 would remain 05, so the description would be: v.12 no.5(2019:05). This is printed onto our label for the students to read. It would be better if Alma can automatically convert the numbers into words in the Description field, e.g. v.12 no.5 (2019:May) through the Generate button. I would like to suggest that when the cataloger has to create an item and adds barcode, that certain details like Copy ID and Inventory Date are automatically input and saved. Currently when the barcode is inserted, it saves automatically and leaves the page immediately. This delays our work, as we have to go back to edit the item again and insert all other details.

Toggle missing status for Set List created from Shelf Report
Once you run a shelf report and create an itemized set of missing items, it would be much easier to be able to toggle the missing status of these items in one big set, rather than having to do a search of each title and toggling the missing status that way.
