Allow more customization on when notices are sent to Interested Users
Right now, if we add an interested user to a PO Line, they receive a notification when the book is received by the library. They often then make their way to the Access Services desk almost immediately, assuming a request was placed on the book, and anticipate checking it out. However, the title is usually still in Technical Services for end processing, copy cataloging, etc.
We would like to submit an enhancement request that this feature be more customizable, allowing us to delay the notice being sent to the interested user until the book is out of processing and has…321 votesDear community,
As stated below by Zohar Shemesh, for physical material it is possible to "keep in department" and have the letter to interested users sent only when "Done".
The description of this idea focuses on physical material. In the comments, some ideas were raised regarding electronic material.
I close this idea as the physical material part is already supported. You can open a separate idea, focusing on electronic material.

Can option for viewing 'Ready to be Paid' invoices be added to Acquisitions menu?
In the 'Receiving and Invoicing' section of the Acquisitions menu,
there are options for displaying invoices in various stages of processing: 'Review', 'Approve' and 'Waiting for Payment'. (See Alma_menu.PNG)It would be very useful to be able to display invoices 'Ready to be Paid' - i.e., which have passed the review stage and await running of the job for export to ERP, which changes them to 'Waiting for Payment' status.
Can the menu be configured to include this option?113 votesDear All,
I am setting this idea to "Already Supported" status as we have a link to 'Ready to be Paid' invoices in Alma.
Kindly,
Zohar Shemesh

Ability to change Acquisition Method in POL
My understanding is that ExL cannot change the Order Line Type due to the inventory database structure. However, what about the Acquisition Method -- Purchase, Approval Plan, Purchase at Vendor System, Gift, Technical, etc? It would be extremely helpful to be able to change the Acquisition Method after an order is sent.
For example, we have some POLs that should have been Purchase at Vendor System instead of Purchase.
We had issues with a depository account where the POLs migrated as Purchase, but tracking our account balance was easier after changing all of them to Technical POLs.
We also have…87 votesThe ‘Update PO Lines Information – Advanced’ job can be used for this purpose.

ability to track perpetual access to eJournals when you cancel them.
submitted case #00086211 to create a new field in the Electronic Portfolio and Electronic Collection records for 'Perpetual Access Coverage Dates', and for this field to be retrievable in Alma Analytics.
We use separate spreadsheets to track these cancelled titles. In Alma, we would update coverage end date, POL if applicable (for individually subscribed titles in our case), and also a public note indicating the discontinuation. Patrons contacted us and asked why they couldn’t access a title any more, so we figured a public note would be more helpful to patrons in this case. But the public note fields is…

An Un-Receive button right on the Receiving Page
A simple Undo/UnReceive (CTL-Z) button that can be immediately used if a book was received in error and needs to be moved back to the list of books waiting to be received.
31 votesHello. Please note that it is possible to do “un-receive” from the receiving page (receiving workbench). For details see
“Acquisitions – How to unreceive an item via the unreceive button.docx”
at

This document shows a detailed example of the “un-receive” option for items of both a “one time” and “continuous” type order.Have a nice day,

Interested Users with API
When ordering with YBP using the API, it would improve workflow to add a hold for a patron into the Interested Users tab. Right now we add hold information into the Library Note field that goes to the Notes tab in Alma. We have to take an extra step to check for a possible hold with each title and add it to the Interested Users tab manually. It would be much better if the API would do it for us either by creating a new field to enter the information in GOBI or take it from the Library Notes field…

Link to edit POL when a purchase request is approved
When a purchase request is approved, a pop-up appears with a confirmation message and a link to the POL that has been created. This link only allows you to visualize the POL.
It would save time if it was an edit link of the POL or that from the display there would be a button to edit the POL.A video is attached
8 votesDear community, when a Purchase Request is approved and ordered, a PO line is created, Alma provides the user with a confirmation message with the newly created PO line number, this number is clickable and will navigate the user to the PO line in view mode. In case the user hase the relevant role, there is an “Edit” button on the top right corner of the screen which will convert the PO line from “View” to “Edit” mode.

reporting codes
We find the information available from reporting codes really useful, but staff often forget to apply them when creating a PO. We'd like to have the option of making reporting codes a required/compulsory field
6 votesCurrently when a PO line is saved without having at least one of the ‘reporting code’ fields populated, an alert is added to the PO line and a confirmation message states this to the user upon saving of the PO line.

Please add Silverchair as a SUSHI vendor
A lot of publishers have migrated their platform from Highwire Press to Silverchair. It would be nice if Ex Libris can add Silverchair as a SUSHI vendor, so we can harvest the electronic resources for all the publishers in one COUNTER report in each month, similar to Highwire.
4 votesDear Colleague,
Silverchair is one of many certified SUSHI vendors which Alma knows to integrate with and harvest usage data automatically.
Thanks,

Update exchange rates more often
The exchange rates for foreign currency invoices are not updated very often. I understand that the Alma network team manually update them weekly or less often. It would be better for consistent financial reporting if the exchange rates were linked to an international standard or at least give libraries the ability to update the exchange rates manually every day themselves. The out-of-date exchange rates are causing massive reconciliation headaches with the Finance department as we try to work out how many thousands of dollars are out of synch. Alma Analytics is only as good as the data it collates and…

Increase character limit for Vendor Reference Number field in the PO Line & accept non alphanumeric characters
We are seeing longer and longer SNAs from vendors for titles. And, since we want to be billed at the title level whenever possible, so that we have the best cost/use data available, we often ask to be billed at the title level.
To do this, the Vendor Reference Number field in the POL needs to be at least 15 characters long. Additionally, it needs to accept hyphens, as many package SNAs have a common root, followed by a hyphen, and then a suffix for the specific title.1 voteThe vendor reference number on the PO line can receive numbers – text – and hyphens. In case order are created via a file (EOD) there should be no limit (up to 255 characters) to the length – characters – hyphens. In case the reference number needs to be sent in EDI to the vendor, the length of the string can be up to 30 characters long.
This is supported.

Link approved purchase request to POL
Many of our Purchase Requests contain notes and comments that are useful in tracing purchase history and resolving issues. It would be useful to be able to open the Purchase Request from within a POL to access this information.
1 voteDear Steve,
Thanks for taking the time to share this idea. I’m glad to say that this is already supported and each PO line hold within it the “Additional” section where you can find the “Source type” field. When the source type field is “Purchase Request” it is linkable and direct the user to the purchase request which generated the PO line in view mode (including it’s notes if exists). Please see attached screen shot which present the link on the PO line to the purchase request. Thanks,

Receiving items without creating a barcode. Needed for looseleafs and pocket parts.
Law libraries have items, such as looseleafs, that require us to check-in an item but do not require a barcode because it is integrated into an item.
By creating the barcode it gives us inaccurate inventory information when running reports. And not receiving the item does not give us an opportunity to track purchases.0 votes
