We are now affected by this issue following an upgrade of our return's chute due to our existing reutrn's chute being end of life. We were not alerted to the loss of functionality we would experience due to this issue. As major academic library suppliers we would have hoped that ExLibris and the supplier of our book returns chute would be using, and supporting, standards that enable efficient interoperability.
It is disappointing to see that this idea has been open for over 2 years and there is still no plan to address it.

As an e-resources librarian too, I agree and would also like to have the ability to enter both a local embargo and a local rolling year, at the moment it appears to be either or but we have a resource with the following policy: Journal content is now freely available for 5 years beginning 12 months after publication.
