I just applied three votes to this idea. The inability to easily/quickly view summary holdings for titles with more than one location is a terrible UX design flaw in Primo VE and not a new "feature" that should be added. Since switching to VE last month our users have complained about two items constantly, and this is one of them. Users should not have to click multiple times just to display summary holdings! And if there are three or more holdings records they have to drill into each one. I really hope this gets fixed soon.

Implementing this idea would help us out a lot. I much prefer native Alma solutions over the APIs, if they are available. The APIs are helpful in certain circumstances but from a systems management perspective, this seems like something better managed within the application itself.

Thanks for the idea, François. I agree - mandatory fields will be helpful for processing the requests. Often users will only fill out cursory information which can make it difficult to know exactly what they need. We have tried to "fool" the request form in the past by adding an asterisk at the beginning of the field (making it seem like the field is mandatory), but this isn't good practice. It would be more flexible if each institution could determine which fields should be mandatory.

As others have mentioned, most of our staff who work with Import Profiles are in the Cataloging Unit and should not have access to configuration. Having a separate role for Import Profiles would solve the problem of simply telling them, "don't touch anything else!"

I just used my last three votes on this idea. I also agree with Simon that it should be expanded to merge and Indication rules as well. The Cataloger role is one that we have to apply widely to students, and they certainly do NOT need access to the rules. In addition, most staff do not need access either. For us, we would be much happier if these rules were accessible via the Catalog Manager and Catalog Administrator roles only (not Cataloger).

Hi everyone. This will be considered. First a comment and a question.
Regarding “how about offering a drop-down list where users can choose a certain day of the month for report delivery”.
This will not happen. Jobs of this nature need to be scheduled so that resources can be properly distributed.
Regarding adding additional time, that may happen. Now a scheduled report has the following possible options. What would you like to see added and or changed?
    Every Monday at 03:00
    Every Monday at 07:00
    Every Monday at 09:00
    Every Day at 03:00
    Every Day at 07:00
    Every Day at 09:00
On the 02 of every month at 03:00
On the 02 of every month at 07:00
On the 02 of every month at 09:00
