I'm surprised that, 6 years later, ExL hasn't implemented this. Using the Continuous tab to receive new serial issues is a great tool, but it *still* doesn't fill in the item policy. I can add everything else, but when I'm done I have to go into the item *again* to set it. If I remember that extra step and also remember what the policy is. We use a few kinds, so too often I have to open another item, see what the policy is, *then* go back into the item I just received, fill in the field and save.

This defeats the whole point of the Receiving - Continuous tab and none of my colleagues use it. They all search for the serial PO and receive issues manually so they can add all the info at once.

I would really like to see both displayed: Global/Local dates and Perpetual Dates (if used) - not quite the same as the either/or suggestion above. Right now, when a librarian wants to weed print they need to either: go into portfolio records individually; do an Extended Export and view the Excel file. It would be so useful for that information to be shown right in Primo and in Alma search results - the Perpetual Date fields would be a more effective tool.
