Display video length/duration for Alma Digital videos
Alma Digital video files listed in the Online Access Options of Discovery list the file type and size but not the duration. It would be helpful for our patrons if the duration of the video was also included in this same area.

Be able to control access rights by user login combined with patron role with a specific scope at library level.
Be able to control access rights by user login combined with patron role with a specific scope at library level.
Example:
Be able to specify a parameter in the access rules that grant access to the representation on Library A if the patron is logged in and his patron role scope = Library A, meaning, only user logged in and belonging to that library are able to access that document.4 votes -
Highlight OCR text within image in Viewer, not just in full text field
Digital representations seen in the Alma-D Viewer, accessed through Primo, are often PDFs with OCRed text. These items have a "Full Text" field with this text displayed with the item's metadata in the side pane, and using a browser's "CTR+F" function will highlight results for a searched word, but this functionality would be helpful if it also extended to highlighting the word in the image as well. In dense newspapers, for example, the user may find the needed word in the block of full text, but he would then need to examine the image carefully to track down the instance…

Access Right based on a user's statistical category
Can we define an "Access Right" based on a user's statistical category. i.e., we have the Student's academic program listed as a statistical category. We want to limit access to certain resources by academic program.

Repository search: fulltext of digital files
We'd like to be able to search the full text of digital files in Alma's repository search. This could be useful in situations where multiple files are attached to a title; searching the full text on the title level in Primo will not guide you to the correct file, but a file-level repo search would.
We see that there is a "fulltext" search index for digital files, but it looks like that index is for the type of full text file (it doesn't search the contents of the full text).4 votes -
Authority control for MODS and DC
My understanding is that authority control is not applied to Dublin Core or MODS metadata (particularly when that metadata is stored and managed in Alma, not as external records). We're interested in controlling name and subject headings in DC or MODS records so that headings are updated when authorities change, and so that these headings appear in Primo browse lists.

Display access rights' copyright statement when editing a representation
Optionally an access right policy in Alma can have a copyright statement associated with it.
When editing a representation in Alma, the existence of the copyright statement is not displayed to the user. The user can enter another copyright statement for the representation which overrides the one associated with the access rights policy.
I would expect that the copyright statement should at minimum, be displayed to the user so they do not have to guess if this is an access rights policy where they must also assign a copyright statement.
I had expected that it would show in the copyrights…

Allow to choose a particular Viewer Service for a particular collection
It is noted that the Display Logic Rule for Viewer Services can base on Material Type (Bib), Representation's Files, and Usage Type (Rep).
It would be great if we can choose a particular viewer for a particular collection. E.g. We want to use Internet Archive Book Reader for items of a specific Collection such that the book can be shown in default two-page display.

Allow selection of one collection from multiple options on one record when adding a representation
When using the route Resources -> Add Digital Representation, you can search for and add a representation to any existing collection. However, if you have a bib record with multiple collections, and you use the "..." -> "Add Representation" menu option on that record, the representation defaults to one of those collections and you're unable to change it; this forces you to use the first route instead if you want to add that representation to a different collection.
Using the "..." -> "Add Representation" route should allow you to select which collection you want to add it to if there's…

The record (Deposit and Staff-mediated Deposit) can only be saved if at least one image, video, or MP4 file is uploaded.
Your assistance in implementing this idea would be greatly appreciated, as students completing the form frequently forget to include images. Enforcing this requirement would help prevent such omissions. Thank you.

Download ZIP file in digital viewer and IIIF viewer
In the digital viewer and IIIF viewer, each file can be downloaded individually. Currently there is no option for patrons in Primo/NDE to download a ZIP file containing all the files in the representation. The only people who can do this are librarians in Alma. An option for patrons to do these bulk downloads would improve efficiency in our workflow.

Remove/edit boilerplate copyright statements - digital
We would like to replace the list currently in boilerplate "copyright statements - digital" with our own copyright statements, as we want to limit the use of too many different statuses in the drop-down list. Currently it is not possible to remove the standard statements or to make adjustments to it.

Alma Digital: Option to unsuppress bib when mark object active
When working in Alma Digital and you change an object to Inactive, you are prompted about suppressing the bibliographic record, which is great. We want that. However, if changing it back to Active, you do not get that same prompt - you have to go into the Metadata Editor to unsuppress the bibliographic record. It would be really helpful if we could unsuppress the record when making an Digital Object active again.

Prevent drag copy of pdf files from alma viewer
When Access rights indicate to “Allow View” but not download,
Alma viewer currently allows downloading the pdf by “saving as”.The digital Viewer should prevent this option.
Preventing drag copy of pdf files from alma viewer is required to manage digital content resources in alma.3 votes -
Add the student’s name to the Approve Deposits screen.
In the standard Alma interface for approving deposits or final projects (for example, via the Review Deposits task list or a dedicated approval screen), the displayed columns are fixed to a predefined set of fields. Currently, there is no built-in configuration option to enable a student name column in this view.
I submit an enhancement request through the Idea Exchange to request adding the student name field to the Approve Deposits screen.

"The record (Deposit and Staff-mediated Deposit) can only be saved if at least one image, video, or MP4 file is uploaded.".
I kindly ask for your help in implementing this idea, because the students who will be filling out deposit need to remember to add their pictures (images, files).
