Duplicate an existing record for new record edit
It would be good to be able to duplicate an existing asset in order to create and edit a new asset. This could be especially useful if there are multiple book chapters from the same book, or conference papers from the same conference.
Removing the "accepted" status so that institution can continue voting as agreed with the PWG.

It would be really nice if this could move forward. it will be incredible helpful for abstracts at the same conference. We have a staff member who will be adding a lot of Engineering abstracts for things that are not in CDI, nor indexed elsewhere that we can find, and have poor metadata in their pages so we cannot pull them into a reference manager and then output in RIS or Bibtex

I would want to copy all of it and edit as needed.

Can we have an update on this please?

I think it is a great idea and we need it as well. I agree with Rebecca Cooke, but I would prefer to keep the authors' information. It will be much easier to erase authors instead of adding them. Usually, scientists work with the same colleagues.

I completely agree with Bec. A few additional specifics on the parent publication are place of publication, series, and series number.

Hi Dan, I would expect all core publication metadata (parent publication, publisher, date, ISBN/ISSN, conference information) to be copied over as well as the editors if there are any. The authors, title, page numbers, abstract, keywords, etc, would be blank. Thanks, Bec
