Hi there,
We submitted the problem about the merging of data within Areas of Interest mid-2021 (Case #00894190). We would expect the portal editing functionality to work the same as if it were edited in the 'back office'.
We also support this idea to lock editing of the field so that our data can be re-used and embedded into other areas of our corporate website. Alternatively, a staged approval process for editing certain profile fields would be great, so researchers could submit changes that would be approved by administrative staff.
Thanks for sharing this great idea Maureen!
