  1. Anticipated/ Confirmed options for Internal Awards

    Currently, there's no way to define an internal award as an anticipated deadline (other than in deadline notes). I would like to see Internal Opps function like External Opps so that in the search list it's clearly defined as either Anticipated or Confirmed deadline, and can even be filtered as such like the external awards are.

  2. Internal awards: reoccurence of opportunity box

    When adding/editing internal awards currently, the only choices for Reoccurence of Opportunity under the Deadlines heading is "One-off or award terminated", and "Continuous, no deadline". These two options do not include the vast majority of our 75+ internal awards (we do not have a single"one-off or award terminated"). The most obvious type should be "Annual". Another category could be "Multiple" or "One Per Term" or "Quarterly", etc. to capture those with more than one deadline in a year.

  3. Editing Funding Contact Person to Be or Include Campus Contact Person

    We want to be able to add our own Foundation/Corporate Engagement representatives to the “Funding Contact Person” part of a opportunity page--or even replace it with our own contact if possible. With most of our foundation/corporate opportunities, we don’t want the user to contact the foundation’s own representative directly. Instead, we want them to contact our own relationship manager for that foundation first. Adding this as a note to the bottom of the page is ineffective; users don't see it. We want to add to or replace the contact information already listed at the top right of the page.

  4. Export and save Awarded Grant data

    Ability to save Awarded Grant searches and export results. Visualizations or additional facets to make this data more flexible would also be great!

  5. When users view a public curated search, it should function like a search result page so that they can further narrow the opps

    Publicly-viewable curated searches would be much more useful to our users if, when they viewed the search, it looked more like a regular search results page, where users can further narrow and manipulate the results based on their own needs. They could use the narrowing features to the left (like only seeing opps in the list from federal agencies, etc.), and also if they could narrow to the last seven days to see what is new in the search.

  6. 1 button access to a proxied, persistent URL for Pivot searches that all users (not just admin) can create and share

    Easily obtain (through 1 click or 1 button) a proxied, persistent/stable URL for a Pivot search that can be shared with others at our institution who sign in via IP authentication. We are looking for an option to share Pivot searches that does NOT require Admin privileges, does NOT require specifying the email addresses of the folks with whom the search will be shared with, and also does NOT require users to create a separate Pivot account to create/share their searches (although they will need to sign in through our university).   7. Add "match any/match all" choice to keyword field in Conferences and Papers Invited

    Similar to how it works for funding opportunities, it would be useful to toggle to "match all" in the keyword field for Conferences and Papers Invited to narrow down results.

  9. Include Proposers' Days and opportunity-related webinars on the opportunity pages.

    The DOD and NSF frequently have Proposers' Days and other webinars/info sessions about specific funding opportunities. Including these dates with the other opportunity information would be very helpful so faculty don't have to hunt for them.

  10. Import publications/integration

    Develop a way to integrate with additional tools such as Digital Measures. Our faculty use that program much more extensively than they do ORCID and it would be nice to be able to import their publications from that system.

    Allow users to choose whether they are searching for exact match or contains. So I could say that I want to search for people with the name Boe and it either return only exact matches or any name that contains boe.

  12. Allow users to sub-filter curated lists and searches

    Sharing curated lists and searches is helpful, but sometimes they are still too big or broad to be useful for everyone. It would be great if users could further filter them. Right now that does not appear to be possible.

  13. Please add "Sort by Relevance" as an option for an embedded search

    I think it would be a good idea to have the embedded search appear exactly the same as a saved search so the "Sort by Relevance" option should be implemented

  14. Incorporate machine learning into Advisor Alert algorithm

    It would be wonderful to build a feedback mechanism for the Advisor Alerts system and incorporate machine learning based on that input. For instance, a scholar could get an Advisor Alert email, mark or dismiss opportunities as they see fit and have that data utilized by the system to create better results for the individual researcher.

    Please allow administrators to share permissions with other administrators to add to their already existing curated lists. I work with a team of three and each of us are administrators who would like to not only curate our own lists, but have permissions to let other administrators add to or make changes to these lists when necessary. I understand that others that are "users" can see curated lists with no editing rights, but we really want to be able to have other administrators add to our curated lists so this is a "team effort" in curating the best lists for…

    I would love to be able to choose to receive my funding alerts on a daily basis rather than a weekly basis. Sometimes the turnaround time for deadlines is so short that a week away is valuable time lost. Thanks! Hilda

  18. Multiple Editing/Management Rights for Internal Grants

    Right now, only the person who added an internal grant can delete or edit that opportunity. Anyone else with full administrative rights in Pivot cannot manage the internal grant opportunities added by others. This creates a problem when that person leaves the job that bore the responsibility of adding those internal grants, thus requiring that all those opportunities must be deleted and added to another administrative account. It would be a great help to allow anyone with full administrative rights the ability to manage all internal grants.

  19. Search criteria should specify the LOI date. If LOI date has past, the proposal dates don't matter!

    If we are able to specify a date range that is specific to the LOI, then we can generate RFAs that the PI is eligible to apply for in that date range. As it is now, when we specify a date range, the results indicate proposal dates that fall w/in that range which are irrelevant if you missed the LOI date.

  20. Exporting Funding Opportunities

    Currently there is no method to export funding opportunities into a nicely formatted PDF or Word document. It would be very helpful to be able to export funding opps into these formats in order to share with a group of faculty in a meeting. An actual document to pass around the table for discussion and planning would be great.
