Expand the number of opportunities shown in email alerts
Please expand email funding alerts to include all the new opportunities found rather than just a few and making us click on a bigger results page to see the rest? I often get through email on my phone when I don't have internet access but cannot complete processing these alerts until I am at a computer, even if I am not interested in any of the titles.23 votes
Include internal deadlines in Calendar view
The Calendar feature is great. Would be better if it included the internal deadlines we add as well as the agencies' deadlines.20 votes
Provide tracked opps the same features as saved searches
Provide tracked opportunities the same features and functionality of a saved search. This means including the names of the funders in addition to the program grant name and allowing users to drill down to get more specific lists such as "Deadline Certainty," "Funding Types," "Funder Types," etc.13 votes
Search criteria should specify the LOI date. If LOI date has past, the proposal dates don't matter!
If we are able to specify a date range that is specific to the LOI, then we can generate RFAs that the PI is eligible to apply for in that date range. As it is now, when we specify a date range, the results indicate proposal dates that fall w/in that range which are irrelevant if you missed the LOI date.9 votes
Funding opp matches to profiles at institution
When viewing a specific opp, and you select the option at the right side where it matches to "# from inside your institution," allow us the "Refine Search" option on the results page, the same way we do on a profile or funding search.9 votes
Add the capability to save searches from paper invited
Add the option to save papers invited search results in similarity to pivot funding search save.5 votes
This is on our roadmap, with exact functionality still TBD.
Auto hyperlinks to URL for More Information within Excel Sheets
I've recently been exporting selections from my curated lists to Excel sheets. However, the "URL for More Information" field does not immediately work for me or for other administrators who have "tested" it. We have to juggle between clicking on the opportunity Sponsor column and the More Information column to finally get it to somehow hypelink. It's frustrating and time consuming to say the least. Can this be scheduled as an enhancement for users?4 votes
PIVOT users can "Opt In" to be identified (in their profile) as a potential collaborator to be contacted for specific solicitations or as part of a broader research topic.4 votes
For Publications, you currently take information from ONLY ORCID, however Computer Science faculty, they use https://dblp.uni-trier.de/, it would be great if you can add this as default.4 votes
Keywords should be linked in a way to search across profiles and promote connecting users.
Within the profile detail, any keyword should be a link to the search results for that very keyword. Even better, it could be a link to a listing of users who have also included that same keyword.
I understand that you can do this manually with the advanced search, but why not automate it and help make connections easier.3 votes
Functionality to export all publications from a faculty profile.3 votes
Add "First Published At" to search criteria.
Allows the user an Advanced Search option to search by the First Published At date or date range.3 votes
Default Search List to 200
Default search or tracked opps results-list to 200 opportunities, rather than 25, so that one can easily scroll through the full list quickly, rather than taking the extra step to choose the larger list. What's the purpose of having a "short" page, rather than simply showing the max?3 votes
OPT-IN Groups: User/Admin notification
I have created a number of public opt-in groups. As the Admin, I would like to have an automatic notice when a User signs up for the group. I would also like the User to receive an automated email explaining what to expect and where to view the listings. Is that possible?2 votes
Additional Sorting Criteria for Awards
Would it be possible to add additional sorting criteria (or filters) to search results for awards? Relevance and Institution are currently available as sorting criteria. I would love to see other ones like date, dollar amount, or PI. Even though search results are not necessarily complete (that's just the nature of the beast), I can see there being lots of uses for searching awards that use the proposed criteria, for example to see what funding a particular researcher has secured over time.2 votes
Add "match any/match all" choice to keyword field in Conferences and Papers Invited
Similar to how it works for funding opportunities, it would be useful to toggle to "match all" in the keyword field for Conferences and Papers Invited to narrow down results.1 vote
Export and save Awarded Grant data
Ability to save Awarded Grant searches and export results. Visualizations or additional facets to make this data more flexible would also be great!1 vote
Add Institution Type Criteria to Advanced Searches to Ensure Eligibility
It was brought to my attention that the SPIN database allows users to make selections regarding "Institution Type" (or something like that) when creating an advanced search. We realized that since we don't have this capability, we really ought to be adding a disclaimer to the curated searches we share, because there's no way to ensure that the list includes only opps that our institution is eligible to apply to. It would be helpful for Pivot to begin tracking and labeling this criteria for opportunities, especially those that are eligible only to MSIs or HBCUs.1 vote
More options regarding frequency to receive funding alerts
There should be a broader menu of options on how often to receive a funding alert. Right now, it's every Sunday.
The faculty at my institution would like a once per month option. Once per week is overwhelming for them and results in too many emails. We're a small university and don't have departmental staff to help faculty sift through all of the results.
Thus, a drop down bar that allows users to choose their frequency would be best: maybe daily, weekly, every two weeks and monthly.1 vote
