Duplicate references
In RefWorks Legacy it was possible to duplicate references in edit mode. - This was a very helpful tool for example when editing book chapters. Please also implement in RefWorks.
RefWorks is happy to announce this feature was part of the April 2023 release.

We have detected that in the new version of Refworks it is not allowed to duplicate a reference. It would make the job much easier.
Thanks.

You can import a reference of an edited book, but even more often you need to reference to a section in this book. In Legacy version you could change the whole book reference to a book section and move the title to book title and author names to editor names and add the chapter title and chapter authors (and add pages) and then just click Save as new (or Save as copy). It was very handy.
Still more handy it would be if the author names and title were automatically moved to editor names and book title. -

I definitely support this case. For instance, when using several sections in an edited book, legacy RW provided the practical procedure to duplicate a reference, and then change only three (!) fields: section title, author(s) and page range (possibly chapter and doi).
Looking forward to this improvement. -

This was particularly useful when a book has many sections and each needs a separate bibliographic entry. I miss the feature more than "a lot."

It saves a lot of time when input a some very similar references.
