Language-dependent custom panels
It would be a great addition if custom panels were language dependent and you can set that in the Client Center directly and easily. This way German contents would be displayed on the German side and English contents on the English side. The tool with Wikipedia already works like this.

Primo Style Search Profile
We would love to see a feature similar to the Primmo Search Profile (https://knowledge.exlibrisgroup.com/Primo/ProductDocumentation/PrimoVE/010ConfiguringSearchProfiles) included in Summon. As a Summon over Alma customer, we would love to more easily be able to link out to WorldCat, highlight our Course Reserves, and more.

Label Kind of Open Access item linked to
Identify the kind of open access version being linked to -- preprint author submitted copy, same-as-published, post-print, etc. While it may not always matter if the open version of a published work is the same as the peer-reviewed, published version, when it does matter, it can be critical -- especially in health sciences. But it's also important for novice researchers to understand what is "almost published" and what was actually reviewed and published.

Add sorting functionality to the Summon Course Reserves Citation List Display
When Alma Course Reserves lists are displayed in Summon, there does not appear to be any order to the citations listed, making it very hard for patrons to find the citation they are looking for in that course. We would like to see the option added to determine the default sort of the display (alphabetical by title, alphabetical by author, date added, etc) AND the ability for users to resort the list themselves if the default sorting doesn't suit their needs.

RestrictionsOnAccess
Make access restrictions visible (MARC field 506 / mapping "RestrictionsOnAccess").
In mapping, MARC field 506 is assigned under RestrictionsOnAccess. Unfortunately this field is not visible in Summon. For the user it would be a big advantage if the access restrictions are shown at the hits.3 votes -
"Citation Online" + Open Access logo in Summon
In the Summon results page, the mention "Full Text Online" is replaced by "Citation Online" for results beyond library collection.
I suggest an exception where this mention "Full Text Online" is not replaced for results beyond library collection, when these results are Open Access and when the Open Access logo is displayed.

Video spotlight treatment
A rollup of video content, with any video results removed from the main results set and presented in a spotlight. The spotlight would present the top 3 to 5 results with thumbnails and descriptions, with a "more" link to see all video results.

Include a "Library" facet and a "Location" facet
For Summon institutions with multiple libraries, it would be useful to include facets for library locations and collection type locations.
For example, users could filter by the library building using the "Library" facet, and also filter by collection type (ex. Stacks, Reference, Reserves) by using the "Location" facet.
Currently with the "Library Location" facet, library buildings and collection locations are listed here and connected only with "OR". By separating them into their own facets, we can utilize the "AND" logic.
Application example- We have students asking if we have a certain textbook that circulates. It would be great to search…

Show unreceived orders in Summon
At the moment, items ordered in Alma are not displayed in Summon until they have been received by the library. We need lecturers and students to be able to follow the progress of requests they have made or check whether we have already ordered a book before requesting it.
Alma sends to Summon the following Availability information:
The status field ( AVA subfield code e) is used to display availability in Summon:<datafield tag="AVA" ind1=" " ind2=" ">

Show DVD covers in search results
Summon should show DVD covers as well as book covers in search results.
Syndetics (and other content providers) have DVD content and covers available but this does not display in Summon. Summon should send EAN and UPC numbers to Syndetics as well as ISBNs to enhance the search results with DVD information.

Include the journal impact factor in the results display
To help our students judge the quality of the results it would be good if the journal's impact factor could be displayed in the results. Or even better, provided as a sorting or limiting option so that students could view results in those journals with the highest impact factor, in the same way they can limit by peer review. Although impact factors are not a perfect tool, it would help get the message across that not all journals are equal. This feature would probably need to be restricted to those libraries with a subscription to JCR.

Make it possible to construct a search box for all online material plus physical material from one location only
At present it is possible to construct a search box which excludes all physical material from one or more library locations. Unfortunately it also excludes physical material found at both those library locations and others, when these share a bibliographical record in the LMS. Make a truly location-specific search box possible.

About customizing the contents of the simple record displayed at the top of the Summon over Alma service page.
Currently, the contents of the brief record displayed at the top of the Summon over Alma Service Page are not customizable. We would like to be able to define this display freely, as in Primo VE.
For example, in addition to the fields currently displayed, we would like to add Record type, Statement of responsibility (author from 245 $c), Publisher name and place, Series name and number, etc.
Example (parts in brackets are not displayed in current service page)

Make the Summon search box widget a responsive design
I want to embed the Summon search box widget on a Moodle page. Search box length is 'static'. It can be set to particular length but it is then not responsive in different screen sizes. The Summon preview pane widget is already responsive i.e. you can set length to 'fluid' and it changes width in different screens. I would like to see this also for the search box.

The ability to limit the search on the results page with a geographic subject facet. This would allow users to search within their results for items on regional specific items.
