Home Page Banners - Swipe interface
As an app user, I would like to be able to swipe through banners, so that I don't have to wait for a specific banner to come around again before I can select it
As well as just having the banners scroll through in a defined order - give users the ability to 'swipe' through them, rather than waiting for a banner to come around again.

External authentication for App Manager
As an app manager administrator, I would like to be able to configure the app manager to use an external authentication store (e.g. AD), so that I don't have to maintain a separate user list just for the app manager
It should be possible to use an external authentication store for access to the App Manager (https://portal.ombiel.co.uk/)
Having to maintain a user list in oMbiel's DB as well as our main user store (AD) is both a pain and a potential security risk.
Suggest at least LDAP provision, but should also consider Shibboleth and similar (Open Auth etc.)

How many clicks a banner has
Wouldn't it be great if we knew how many clicks banners go? How successful is a campaign?

Make fingerprint login time-out configurable
The new fingerprint functionality allows you to enable/disable fingerprint sign in to the app, based on the fingerprints stored in your mobile devices (if available). The annoying behavior for this, is that it will ask you to re-fingerprint every time you get back to the app (e.g. switch to another app, and get back to CampusM 2 seconds later re-triggers fingerprint).
Please allow for a configurable time-out timer during which re-authentication with fingerprint will not be necessary.

Add option of using OAuth as an authentication method
We would like to see the introduction of OAuth as a method of authentication for the Portal and mobile apps in addition to SAML and LDAPS.
OAuth provides a method for users to grant third-party access to their resources without sharing their passwords. It also provides a way to grant limited access (in scope, duration, etc.).
OAuth also offers direct handling of non-website services. OAuth has built-in support for desktop applications, mobile devices, set-top boxes, and of course websites.
We believe it may offer a solution to our issue of having to run both SAML authentication for our portal/desktop site…

Send notifications to list of e-mail addresses / student names
Please look into the possibility of optimising the notification functionality, so that notifications can easily be sent to individuals based on name / Id / e-mail address, rather than groups. The only way to currently do this is to manually search for a name / e-mail, and add users 1 by 1, but we'd like the ability to do this as a bulk add, based on a list of multiple inputs.

Update analytics to show how many users are engaged / non-engaged
Currently the analytics that we can see are quite top level and don't allow us to really evaluate how many active users we have. There is a figure for this, however I think ExLibris have stated that this figure is not accurate / really working.
It would be really helpful if we had access to a simple graph that showed us the number and proportion of:
- Very active users (e.g. users who are on average accessing the app multiple times a day / multiple sessions a day)
- Active users (e.g. users who are on average accessing the app roughly once…

Have personalisation stored permanently for users
As opposed to personalisation options (the order of the icons) being lost when the user logs out, it would be better if they were associated with the user accounts and kept the icon order when the person logged out and back in again, as opposed to them having to rearrange.

Enable Deep Linking in the applications
Enable deep linking into the apps so that we could use the functionality to not only link to content within the app via a url but also so that we can use it open the directly from other places such as Facebook app pages.

Be able to bulk upload/download campus positions.
Add a function with a button to the positions area, where we are able to bulk upload/download campus positions.
The idea being we can download a .csv of current locations and make any updates we need and then upload it back for our app to then get populated with the changes.
This would speed things up for everyone rather than editing each position one by one that takes way too long to sort.

Allow keeping personification (tile arrangement) after logging out on the app
The students would like to have their personification settings (i.e. tile arrangement on the Home screen) maintain while they log out and log in again in the mobile app.

Ability to upload a spreadsheet into AppManager to set alert population
In App Manager Alert Group subscriptions page
https://appmanager.ombiel.com/notifications/CampusM/alertgroupsubscriptions
You can currently select people individually or as a whole ALL group.
It would be much more practical to be able to upload a spreadsheet of email addresses to add to the group. We often have campaigns or targeted groups that may contain up to 10,000 subscriptions but this is not ALL of the group and searching through the list for 10,000 specific emails is not practical.
Could you amend this method to allow upload of files which would solve a big problem for us.
Thanks

Allow the sendAlert API to set an alert expiry date/time.
Allow the sendAlert API to set an alert expiry date/time so that we can expire an alert after, say seven days or ten days and the user does not have to remove the alert themselves or end up with loads of old alerts .

Merging calendars
We would like to merge the academic and the exam timetables into one, to avoid the extra click.
Ideally, these would be colour coded.19 votesPlease see our blended calendar update

Alphabetise the roles in the app manager
Would it be possible to alphabetise the roles in the app manager, when viewing them in the app builder and all other places.
They used to be an a familiar order, but since the first migration they have changed order, so it is really difficult to find them now.
So there must be a way of ordering these because you changed the order?
Ideally it would have "default" at the top, followed by the roles in alphabetical order.

campusm:// links available within pocketguide "redirect" field
As an app content manager, I would like to be able to have the campusm:// links available within pocket guide "redirect" field, so that I can link to content directly from a pocket guide menu
We'd like to be able to use the campusm:// links inside the 'redirect' field within pocketguides.

Allow the feedback/problem/ideas options to be hidden or better controlled
As many institutions have their own support desk, there's a growing need to integrate the feedback function in CampusM with these ticketing systems or allow admins to hide from view, so CampusM isn't creating an additional stream of support calls outside of the main system.

Overhaul UI/Features for Alerts
The current UI for Alerts could improved dramatically to allow dynamic group creation.
A great example of an intuitive UI for communication is:
This is an SMS based communication platform but the UI could work the same.
The second part of this work should include the ability to create on the fly role/attribute based groups to send alerts to. At the moment the process for creating a group is too complicated and not straight forward enough for administrators to do.
Thanks,
Liam Bennett

notification groups
we are in the process of integrating our emergency messaging platform to campusm so any message sent in an emergency will be pushed to "notification/alerts" within campusm. The limitation is getting membership into notification group, as a community college we have large population of students changes almost on a daily basis so it is not feasible to add students to groups manually.
we would like to have group enrollment be dynamic, tied to "roles" so membership is maintained without human intervention
15 votesyou can synchronise alert groups with app roles. as your students roles change, so do their alert group subscriptions.
