How can we improve campusM?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".

  1. Digital accessibility

    It would be of great benefit to our University students if the CampusM website were to incorporate digital accessibility features.

    By digital accessibility, we mean implementing tools that would allow students to view digital content:
    - in black and white mode,
    - with high contrast,
    - negative contrast,
    - light background,
    - the ability to change fonts to bold,
    - increase or decrease text size.

    As a good example, we can refer to the website of the Latvian Student Union: https://www.lsa.lv/language/en/

    As part of our 2025 roadmap, campusM has been going through a VPAT compliance process, which should be ending in the next few weeks.

    Once it's completed, we will publish our new VPAT which details our compliance with the WCAG 2.2 AA standard.

  2. Update the Outlook Module

    We received the following from a student user:

    Feedback is about the app
    The user submitted a rating of 2 out of 5.
    Model: SM-S906U1 13
    Platform: android
    App Version: 9.37.0
    Comments: Deleting emails en masse would be a nice addition. Having to select and open each individual email before I can delete it takes a lot of time that I could instead be using to study. Many of the emails us students using this app receive are essentially advertisements-- I have literally a hundred from Barnes & Noble. Why can't I just highlight them all after searching my inbox…

  3. Ability to create dynamic or nested roles

    As we look to offer features that serve more focused user groups we find that the creation and management of roles gets more and more complex.

    Rather than make an existing role nested (e.g. campus > year of study), we have to create multiple variations (e.g. campus + year one, campus +year two, campus + year three etc). This can lead to a lot of roles and makes it very difficult to manage - if we were to set up roles for each year of study, across 6 colleges, 3 types of study and 4 campuses in the current structure…
