The system to either retain the original order of the files
At present, when you use the Create Logical StructMap task (which we employ to recreate a folder hierarchy for born-digital files in the CSV/zip and Bagit deposit methods), the order of directories and files is arbitrary. We would prefer the system to either keep the original order of the files as they are in the zip/bag or arrange them alphanumerically.

Can Rosetta support automated integrity checks for external storage systems like AWS S3 or Azure Blob Storage?
Currently, Rosetta performs integrity checks on digital content stored within its preservation environment, primarily using fixity (checksum) verification. However, for external storage systems such as AWS S3 or Azure Blob fall guys online, automated integrity checks depend on how the storage is integrated.
To implement regular fixity checks for external storage, a possible approach is to use Rosetta's existing Preservation Planning module combined with custom scripts or third-party tools to pull checksum data from the cloud provider and compare it with Rosetta's stored checksums.
This feature could be greatly enhanced if future Rosetta releases included native support for scheduled…

IIIF Universal Viewer - delivery of Audio Visual material with Closed Captioning
It would be good if the Rosetta IIIF Universal Viewer maintained the same functionality level as the Alma-Digital IIIF Universal Viewer.
The Rosetta Universal Viewer in V8.2.0 is at v31.1.
When attempting to deliver a times based item (e.g. audio visual) the following is missing
- skip forward and back 20 seconds
- access to the VTT closed captioning
Lack of access to the CC is a major accessibility issue
Surprisingly Alma-Digital does cater for the above
i have attached a comparison document
As both teams are now under 'Discovery and Digital Solutions' I would have expected the two components to maintain…

Full Validation Stack for BYTESTREAM Objects
We have a growing number of deposits where data enters the archive in container formats such as .zip and is usually not extracted for various reasons. Examples include zip containers which are part of a larger complex object IE such as the content of a CD or a as zipped supplementary data to a journal article where the zip container is referenced from with the publication.
In this case, files in BYTESTREAM are extracted during ingest for metadata extraction, but are stored as container formats in permanent. But there are some shortcomings compared to the regular validation stack:
• no…

Allow Rosetta to be exposed as a non-root URL
Our Rosetta instances are all behind a firewall and accessible through a reverse proxy.
In order to sanitize our host names and improve the integration with our other services, it would be beneficiary to be able to access Rosetta in a sub-path of an existing URL. So instead of the url: test.depot.libis.be/mng/... we would like to use teneo.libis.be/depot/test/mng/...

Exclude file level dmdSec from publishing
We use the out of the box Update Metadata Job fairly regularly. The first part of that job is to run a publishing configuration that outputs the XML to the server. We'd like the option to exclude the file level dmdSecs from publishing, as we have some IEs with thousands and it results in a very large XML file that is difficult to work with. We generally only need to edit the IE level dmdSec so the additional XML is unnecessary.
