Central Office institution in My Profile for Primo Central: free for delivery collections should be handled by Central Office Institution
We've created a Central Office institution in My Profile for Primo Central as described in the Knowledge Center
https://knowledge.exlibrisgroup.com/Primo_Central/Product_Documentation/PC_Index_Configuration_Guide/020Primo_Central_Index_Registration/030Consortium_Activation_in_Primo_Central
This works fine for resources which aren't free for delivery. Collections that are free for delivery have to be activated for each institution within the consortium separately. This means hard and time consuming work if you are supporting several institutions within a consortium like we do.
From our point of view there is no reason why the collections that are free for delivery are handled differently. Main criteria to activate a collection is the quality of metadata in Primo Central. There are several collections free for delivery that are of poor metadata quality so that we decide to deactivate them. One of the recent examples is ESPACENET .
Please change the activation of collections in Primo Central My Profile. All (!) collections should be (de-) activated through the Central Office Institution in My Profile.
All existing restrictions have been removed.
