  2. Change the record ID methods for Tags and Basket

    For Tags and Basket, the records ID is the dedupmrg number for merged records. We want to use the individual record ID for the group.
    This will ensure that records will allways be pointing on the right record even the all records are deleted and reloaded. The dedupmrg number is different whe we reload all records.

  3. Subject words also in brief display

    We would like to have the option to show subject words in the brief display mode. This would help users determine if hits are relevant faster.

  4. Cutting and Pasting Search Strategies following a PRIMO search

    As a reference librarian, I regularly include a copy of a my strategy with a hypertext link to the search in an email or Google Doc. There is a nice summary of the strategy above the search in PRIMO, but I can't copy it well; it needs a lot of editing if pasted.

    In my search history, it is a hyper-link and when I highlight it to copy, it tends to re-run the link.

    The alternatives are too share a link (the links too searches are too long -- a short link may work) or to do a screen capture…

  5. Actions - email record function - Please give indication an email has been sent

    When emailing a record (via Actions - email ) it would be great if there was some indication that an email was sent. We often get several emailed records from clients regarding the same item – and one has mentioned it would be great to know it’s been successfully sent. Currently the pop box for entering email details just disappears once submitted.

  6. Is there anyway that all holdings can be displayed in a "paragraph" format, instead of a line-by-line format.

    At present time, Primo displays some holdings records in "paragraph" format, and others in line-by-line format. This is inconsistent, and makes the catalog appear sloppy. When items are in the line-by-line format it becomes time consuming to have to scroll down to find out if an institution holds an item. It would be much better for all holdings to appear in the "paragraph" format and this would then give a much needed consistency to the catalog.

  7. Make Title Search in Journals A-Z Left-Anchored

    When we search for a title such as "Science" or "Nature" in the current A-Z journal list, the search is not left-anchored and thus finding titles of this kind involves scrolling through several pages of results.

  8. Improve Misleading Links/Terminology in Results

    The prominent "Use Get It To Request" link on results with multiple versions, in the case where another version is an immediately available local copy, is not a good thing to have displayed.

    We have also noticed the new interface offers direct "Online access" links from the results page (even with direct linking deactivated) which arbitrarily lead to what can be one of several possible destinations, each with different date coverage ranges. So in the case of embargoed content, for example, a user can be misled to think current access is unavailable.

  9. Sliding publication date range bar option

    At the moment in Primo the publication date filter gives you only the option to retype the year or to use the up and down arrows. We would like to see something similar to the option in Summon where you have a slider bar which you can drag across to reduce the date range ie: 2006-2017

  10. Expand quick in-browser "citation" styles to match those in Summon "cite this item"

    Expand the quick in-browser "citation" tool to have the same expanded styles list available in the Summon "cite this item" tool.

    Allow sites to include their own local styles through the administration back end.

    Undergraduate students, particularly 1st years, often want to be able to just grad a quick citation from the interface in the style they need, not have to deal with Endnote or one of the other reference management tools.

  11. Ability to save phone number in "my account"

    I would love it if I could save my phone number in my account so I don't have to type it in every time to send a record to my phone.

  12. Export search results in ISBD format

    It seems that Primo does not permit (as, I.E., Aleph) the export of a search in ISBD format: doing this would be a great thing at least for our patrons

  13. e-shelf indication that items have been copied to clipboard ready for pasting

    e-shelf indication that items have been copied to clipboard ready for pasting. There is no indication available and when copying large amounts of items it is unclear as to whether they have been added to the clipboard or not so the user cannot tell when it is time to paste.

  15. Option to extend Held Shelf Expiry Date

    We would like the option, within My Account for the user to be able extend the Held Shelf expiry date of their requests. They would click on a button and, if no-one had already requested their item the system would automatically extend the Held shelf expiry date (it could do this by an agreed period - for example 2 days and if, required an email could be sent to Library Requests staff to alert them)

    Our users have expressed a preference for the permalink to open into a screen which would give them access to the item i.e. either the getit or view it tab.

  18. Persistent "Number of results to display" setting

    As a user, I would like the "Number of results to display" setting in the "My Account" area to be persistent for my user account.

    Currently, this setting is dependent on a browser cookie and/or system cache. As a security measure, many users clear caches and cookies when they close their browser. This results in the setting reverting to a default value when they next log in to Primo.

    Having this setting directly associated with a user's Primo account would provide a more consistent user experience.

  19. Display "Sign in to check request options" message/link on a higher level

    Display the "Sign in to check request options" message/link on a higher level than for each location? That would make it much more visible for customers, instead of having to click on individual locations drop down links.

    We would like to give to the patrons the possibilty to reserve a study place, As a user could reserve a seat for the cinema we would like to give to the patron the possibility to reserve a seat in our library
