Item Policy Sorting in Drop-down Lists (including Rialto)
When selecting values from a drop-down list of item policies, scrolling through a list to find a common one (say, "Books") is onerous. The documentation states that drop-down sort order can't be defined by up/down arrows or default values in the table in Fulfillment Configuration. In Rialto, the options aren't even presented alphabetically.
I would like to see options to sort Item Policy drop-downs by either or all of these:
a. most-used first
b. most-recently-used first
c. alphabetical

Create request: allow requesting of several different descriptions for a title in one request form
In order to make the request flow more efficient it would be beneficial to have an option to request more than one description for a request.
For example, if one wants to move all the DVDs in a multi-volume collection to the reserves currently he needs to go and create a request for each volume. A better solution would be to allow him to select several different descriptions and then in the background split them ionto separate requests.3 votesHello All,

Multiple requests (Home Delivery pickup), Multiple Items, and Information Display on Scan In Page
Multiple requests with pickup as Home Delivery are placed against a title and there are one or more copies available. When staff collect the items from the shelves, they scan in the item barcode. Alma, if it can see that there are two identical requests, on the Scan in page will ask for the request ID. Staff then scan in the request ID for the first patron (with Home Delivery as pick up location) in the request list. This results in the first patron being loaned the item that was scanned in. Show editions of books when a repository search is done in either Physical Title search, or Physical Item search, not just all item search
It's frustrating to do a physical title search or physical item search and only be showing the year of publication but not the edition, the edition only seems to show in an all item search.

When handling requests it would be timesaving to have patrons preferred Language visible as well as if you need to contact the user. So to have an option to choose to include Language in the Administration > User Management Configuration > Configuration Menu > General > Contact Information Pop-Up

The process for blocking the loan status notice (FullItemChangeDueDateLetter) should be more flexible. Currently, it's sent whenever a request is submitted for any item checked out by a particular user group, whether that item is recallable or not. Automatically populate Material Type and Terms of use dropdowns in request forms
In the physical request form in Primo it is common for there to be a single value in the Material Type and Terms of Use dropdowns. It is common for users to click on these dropdowns to see what the options are only to find there is only a single value to choose from.

Make barcodes display on first reference in a title with fewer clicks.
Barcodes are used by staff to ensure we pick correct title. Please make it easier to find these without multiple clicks. Display full barcode, not part of it that you have to click or hover over to get. We use these for so many things. They should be easier to find in Alma with a minimal of clicks!

Make list of configured circulation notices viewable to circulation desk staff
Circulation desk staff without administrative privileges have no way of knowing which circulation letters have been configured for a particular circulation desk or library branch, or what they will look like/what the "stock" text is when they are sent, without first creating test scenarios that will generate the relevant notices. It would be very helpful if a circulation desk supervisor could at least have a read-only list of notices for their area, and perhaps be able to preview each type of notice (again, read-only) so that they know what the notices will look like when rendered. Direct access to Reading lists is required following a Repository Search
User story/Case:
In Alma, when a Repository Search is run and the list of matching citations display, Library staff who process Reading Lists require direct access to all reading lists associated with the citations.Description:

Transit Times between libraries to reflect deliveries.
Currently in Alma transit time is an average time with a relevant disclaimer, however we need to create a transit time between two libraries where delivery of books to/from the libraries happens once a week, this tansit time will reflect exact and changing deliveries.

Add Primary Identifier or Item Barcode to patron-delivered letters
Patrons receive many letters from us (summaries of their loans, fines, check out, check in, etc.) When someone wants me to do something about their account, they just write me back saying "fix this". So, I need to look up their account. But unfortunately, it can be difficult to figure out who the patron is. Either there are multiple people with the name listed or someone has their name changed in a way that isn't reflected in the letter.

Provide ability to create templates for reserve materials
- Our Fulfillment staff are unable to use locally created templates to create records for materials on course reserve. We do not want to give them cataloger roles.
- They have the following options-- print book, e-book, print article, e-article. This is limiting and we place other types of resources on reserve, including streaming audio and video.

Have users actual work address (building and room number) appear on the screen
We do not use a "hold shelf" in our library. When a user is next in line on a returned item, it would be useful to have their location information (building and room number) appear on the screen when we check the item in. All we see is "Work Address". It would be helpful if their actual work address appeared on the screen. Now we have to navigate to Contact Information for the patron. Thank you.

Separate courtesy notice before max loan period reached
Users as well as staff find it difficult to keep track of the max loan period, especially with auto-renewals the expectation is that the loan period gets renewed all the time, and it catches people by surprise that the max period has been reached. A separate message warning them of the max loan period approaching, with its own configurable number of days before due date it will be sent, would give users time to arrange for either return of items or bringing them in for renewal.

Currently ALMA does not let you add extra call template files. You are stuck with the default ones

Facets on reading lists page do not behave as expected
When selecting 'up to a week ago' or 'up to three days ago' from the facets on the Reading Lists page, I expect to see everything modified from today up to either a week ago or up to three days ago. Instead, selecting 'up to three days ago' excludes lists modified today or yesterday. Selecting 'up to a week ago,' excludes lists modified today, yesterday, and up to three days ago. In response to my Salesforce case, Ex Libris Support said this is how the facets are designed to work and to submit an enhancement request.

Search for Courses from top search bar (persistent search)
I often have to remind colleagues (and myself) that you can only search for Courses by clicking through Fulfillment > Course Reserves > Courses.
It would make more sense for the Course search to be an option in the persistent search drop-down.

Facilitate automatic transiting option to specified department when creating a work order
A frequent complaint I hear about work orders is repetitive scanning. Adding a radio button that allows an operator to place the item in transit directly to the work order department specified when the work order is created could eliminate the necessity of scanning an item to place it in transit after creating a work order. The option would be helpful from both the Place Items In Process screen after Work Order is selected from a Row Actions List, and within the Create Physical Item Work Order job.
