API support for monitoring Alma publishing and Primo updating data flow
Currently, the monitoring of Alma-side import and publishing jobs, and Primo-side pipes and indexing processes must be performed manually. Job status information should be accessible via API, so institutions could make this manual monitoring work much more automated.

ability to track perpetual access to eJournals when you cancel them.
submitted case #00086211 to create a new field in the Electronic Portfolio and Electronic Collection records for 'Perpetual Access Coverage Dates', and for this field to be retrievable in Alma Analytics.
We use separate spreadsheets to track these cancelled titles. In Alma, we would update coverage end date, POL if applicable (for individually subscribed titles in our case), and also a public note indicating the discontinuation. Patrons contacted us and asked why they couldn’t access a title any more, so we figured a public note would be more helpful to patrons in this case. But the public note fields is…

Add a column on the User Details display under the User Roles section that contains the Expiry Date for each role
An additional column that includes the Expiry Date for the listed role would be useful when working with groups that expire at various times as happens with emeriti at universities. I am sure that public libraries would also find this useful as their patrons expire at many different times so they would be looking at the expiration data for roles for users much more often.
The addition of a column that shows the Expiry Date for a role would make finding the expiration date take one fewer click.
This enhancement would also make monitoring of temporary roles that are given…4 votesHi,
This column is not in the user roles by default, but can be added, see https://www.screencast.com/t/GGdVWztYxCN

api isbn
I would love to see the API suit expanded to allow retrieval of bibliographic MARCXML and JSON based on other standard identifiers, such as ISBN/ISSN or OCLC number.

Receiving items without creating a barcode. Needed for looseleafs and pocket parts.
Law libraries have items, such as looseleafs, that require us to check-in an item but do not require a barcode because it is integrated into an item.
By creating the barcode it gives us inaccurate inventory information when running reports. And not receiving the item does not give us an opportunity to track purchases.0 votes -
Allow items to be placed on Course Reserve using their barcode
We need the ability to add items to a course reserve reading list by barcode. While ISBN works for books, any audio or video items do not have ISBNs so we need another mechanism to add specific items. And it is critical to get the exact version of an opera or symphony. It's also silly that we cannot use barcode when our legacy systems did, often as the only item identifier. As a result, we don't have any way to easily port information from one system to another.

Truncate titles, etc. when searching
Truncated searching would save a lot of keystokes. It would also save a lot of typing when you misspelled something and then have to retype the entire title again. Typing in the exact title when it may be very long or a little bit different from what you remember takes a lot of time. Allowing for a wildcard would allow better searching for plurals, different endings, etc.

Overdue block equals to the number of total overdue days of all book
In Alma, we have overdue block for users who overdue books since 2015 November release. But, I need more option for overdue block: overdue block should be "ACCUMULATED". I want to create overdue block which is same to the number of total late days of all overdue book.
For example, when a user returns items, and if the user has two overdue items - one is 5 days overdue. and the other 10 days overdue.
The user will be blocked from loaning forward for 15 days. After 15 days, he/she will be automatically released.
(with current overdue block system in…2 votesHi,
Accumulative blocks are supported. See https://knowledge.exlibrisgroup.com/Alma/Release_Notes/01_2016/December_2016/Alma_December_2016_Release_Notes/04Fulfillment_-_December_2016_Enhancements#Enhancements_to_Block_When_Overdue_Policy

Improve the Record Quality & Coverage for eResources in the Community Zone
Could you please source full level records for eResources in the Community Zone.
The ability to link to records in the CZ is a great feature but if the records are poor or non-existent then this renders eBooks undiscoverable in Primo and will certainly render FRBRization impossible.14 votes -
Calendar Details Accessible to Circulation Desk Managers
To configure a library calendar (Adding/Editing Calendar Details), one must have the Fulfillment Administrator or the General System Administrator role. Those roles are often given to very few people within an institution.
Modifying the calendar details of an institution or library and configuring the hours during which the institution/library is open or closed must be done on a regular basis. We find it would be much easier if the "Calendar management" tab could also be edited by Circulation Desk Managers, and not only by Administrators. This would give more flexibility to the library and allow its staff to directly manage…2 votes -
Enable Alma institutions to report on bX service impact
I'm interested in the possibilities of the bX recommender service that's integrated into Primo - I believe that this tool has great potential for institutions and users. But, to my knowledge, there's no ability for an Alma institution to produce data showing how users interact with bX from the Alma Link Resolver services menu (to determine service impact). For bX to be relevant, this needs to change.
Data points of interest include: The number of end users who clicked on at least one recommendation; the total number of recommendations clicked on; the services accessed by users clicking on bX links…

Enable linking to Alma viewer selected file
Use case: User wishes to share a link to the Alma viewer but specify a specific file in a representation. eg. Share a link to chapter 3 in a book where each chapter has a separate pdf.
eg. https://librarysearch.bond.edu.au/discovery/delivery/61BOND_INST:BOND/1279341110002381
Use case 2: Instructor wants students to read chapter 3 in the same example above. At present we can only manage the digital representation in the Leganto citation, and instructor has to rely on a public note to advise students to get to chapter 3.
If there was a method to build a link to a specific file maybe using an…
0 votesHi,
Thank you for the idea. The requested feature is already included since March release, as part of the new Alma viewer release. PSA screenshot.
Users can define whether the shared link will highlight a specific file in the representation.
Thank you,
Daniel
