Adding a banner to the Alma/Primo page during scheduled maintenance
During the scheduled maintenance both Alma and Primo VE sites do not have a maintenance page alerting the users that the websites is under going system maintenance. It will be really helpful for the patrons and users to know that the sites are undergoing maintenance instead of the sites not loading at all. Please consider this implementation

Persistent search box to display recent searches for all search types eg. PO line
Currently the persistent search box only allows re-running a recent repository search in the recent history drop down. It doesn't remember recent searches for other types eg. Order line, Users, Vendors etc. It would be very useful to remember these searches as many people work in different areas that don't use repository searches that often, but perform other searches.

Sandbox Widget on Dashboard
At one point we had an option to access the Alma Sandbox from the dashboard in our production environment. However, this Sandbox widget was removed when the "New Premium Sandbox Policy" was introduced.
Any possibility of reintroducing an updated form of this widget for non-premium Sandbox users?
1 voteA new capability was added In the January 2020 release: For customers who do not have an Alma premium sandbox, the Standard Sandbox link has been added to the Help Menu to allow them to access their sandboxes from Alma.

Export slips to PDF
Currently, Alma only allows exporting slips to Excel or "printing" to an email address. Please please add an option to export to PDF, using similar output that gets sent to a printer. Seems like it would be easy to add, and would be immensely useful.

Alma should work on Mac Safari
Currently, the Mac OS Safari browser is not supported for Alma (https://knowledge.exlibrisgroup.com/Alma/Product_Documentation/010Alma_Online_Help_(English)/010Getting_Started/050Alma_User_Interface_–_General_Information/010Browser_Requirements)
Furthermore, until the February 2018 release, Safari has successfully worked in Alma without problem, going back at least until late 2014. However, with the February 2018 release, you now get the endless spinning blue line when loading several pages, such as the User search results screen.
Safari is supported by Primo: https://knowledge.exlibrisgroup.com/Primo/Product_Documentation/New_Primo_User_Interface/010Frequently_Asked_Questions#Browser_and_Device_Support
Safari is supported in SalesForce: https://help.salesforce.com/articleView?id=getstart_browser_aloha.htm&type=5
While Safari has a small market share, it is the default web browser for Macintosh computers, which are heavily used in education. To be unable to use Safari…

Add a print server or other local print option so that slip letters can be printed locally
As it is all Resource Request Slip Letters, Transit Letters, etc., are sent to network printers through a more convoluted process than is necessary, and has caused more pain than it is worth in some departments. This could all be solved by introducing a print server or something similar so that these slips may be printed on locally connected printers as opposed to network-only printers. Instead of having emails sent to accounts that route these print jobs to appropriate printers "in theory", the option could exist to instead print to a hard-wired printer. As it stands, print jobs are hectic…

Configuring different sender e-mail addresses (SMPT-envelope-from) for one letter-type
For now the SMTP-envelope-from definition for Alma Letters can be set only once per letter-type. This isn’t suitable. E.g., our libraries need more than one sender email address for different acquisition departments. Vendors should be able to reply directly to the departments E-Mail-address. Using one no-reply-address (as SMTP-envelope-from value) in combination with a “reply-to”-addresses written in the Mail Footer cannot be a permanent solution.
Actual situation in Alma:
When an E-Mail is send in the context of a job Alma takes the SMTP-envelope-from value from the „addressFrom”-definition in the concerning letter-configuration (general configuration -> letter emails).
When an E-Mail is…264 votesWhen sending patron notices from a library, the library's 'Circulation Communication' address will be used as the reply to address on the email. For more information see video at https://youtu.be/bFfopLgjEN4'

Add a print test page option to printer action menu
It would be great to have a simple way to test Alma printers, rather than having to go through a workflow to print something out. I think a good place for this would be on the action menu for each printer.
89 votesAlma has incorporated a Test option on the Printer configuration page that enables users to send a test HTML to the printer to verify that the printer is operational with Alma.

Option to increase number of results displayed in Alma
It would be really helpful if we could choose how many results to display in various areas of Alma such as e-resource collections/portfolios, jobs, etc. Currently only 20 results display at a time. Perhaps you could give users the option of displaying 10, 20, 50, 100, 250? I realize that many search results can be exported to Excel but it would be nice if we could choose to display more within the Alma interface.
17 votesAs of November release you can now select the number of results appearing on any list of results (previously, only a few lists had this feature). For some lists, the range is between 10 and 50 results. For other lists, it is between 20 and 100 results.

Less Scan In operations
Despite the fact that Work Orders (WO) can be linked to a Circulation Desk, working with Work Order Departments and Circulation Desks in a same session can still cause many Scan In operations for the staff.
There might be indeed several scan-in operations before an item becomes finally indicated as available (on shelf) on Alma/Primo. This is particularly the case for smaller libraries or library branches when most of the operations are made in the front office, at the library desk itself.
We would like to reduce the number of scan-in operations so that for example at the end of…
70 votesAs part of the November release you can now set relation rules between libraries so that transit for reshelving will not be required between certain libraries, departments, and circulation desks. This reduces redundant work effort by not automatically putting items in transit for reshelving when the libraries are close to each other. This does not affect other transit types, such as hold shelf, work order, and processing.
A new link, Reshelve Without Transit Rules, is now available in the Fulfillment configuration menu. By default, a rule is created with no input parameter and an output parameter set to false to maintain current functionality.for more information see: https://knowledge.exlibrisgroup.com/Alma/Product_Documentation/010Alma_Online_Help_(English)/030Fulfillment/080Configuring_Fulfillment/020Library?mt-draft=true#Configuring_Reshelve_Without_Transit_Rules

Provide a search box to locate a particular configuration
There are many configurations in Alma that give libraries a lot of flexibility for customization. They can be located under Acquisitions, Resource Management, Fulfillment, Administration, etc. It is obvious for some configurations (E.g. Shipping Method under Acquisitions) but not for many others (E.g Work Order, Sort Routine). Suggest to look into providing a search box (Say, as part of the pull-down menu on the top left) for configurations. It should be helpful and reduce some frustration. Thank you.

Customize display settings
Parts of Alma are difficult to read. I would like to see more space between lines of text, more contrast between font colors, larger type, etc.. It would be nice if each user could customize their display settings.

Support DKIM when messaging
There is a trend towards institutions requiring DomainKeys Identified Mail when sending messages. It would be helpful if when configuring Alma to use our mail gateways DKIM was supported.

Create a space for customer-submitted documentation sharing
It would be nice if ExLibris customers could have a space where we could all submit documentation on what we're doing. For example, if one institution has figured out how to configure something, they could either upload files outlining the steps they took to do it or write them out or maybe both. This space should also be searchable, and possibly have ways to limit by things such as which system(s) you use, whether you are a local or hosted customer, etc.
This would be easier than checking the listserv archives and it could be collaborative in nature. It would…

Add Expiration Date to list of roles for a given user
After searching for a User and clicking on their name to display current roles, the display should include a column for Expiration date (in fact the current display of Status date -- when the role for the user was last updated -- is virtually worthless). Especially at the beginning of a new school year when formerly expired students are returning to work, it would be extremely helpful to see the expiration date from the list of roles without having to Edit and open up each role.
