Agreed. In Primo Classic (Back Office), we had a completely separate instance that displayed only online journals and other resources specific to that campus.
In migrating and upgrading to VE/NDE, we have lost that function. Print only journals are displaying in one of our campus views and there is no way to hide them. In Basic/Advanced search results, it is possible to hide print availability statements, but users doing a Journals search will encounter print records that do not show any availability (because I've used CSS to hide availability). But for this campus view - they are only entitled to a subset of online holdings for that campus, so there is no need to see the print journals at all.
In Primo Classic, we were able to publish and see only the online journals that were assigned to this specific campus group, so this is a regression/defect in moving to PrimoVE from Classic.

I agree that cluttering the Community Zone (CZ) knowledge base with orphaned collections makes the CZ less useful. Every electronic collection in the CZ needs to be actively curated or reviewed at least once a year if not more often depending on the content of the collection. I fully support this idea.

According to a reply from a support case:
To duplicate the Primo UI's 'npsearch', you can add the parameters &newspapersSearch=true and &pcAvailability=true to the regular search API parameters.

I find the difference between browse by subject in Primo Classic to Primo VE/NDE to be a significant regression in functionality.
In Primo Classic, you could configure all of the display_subject fields to be browsable, all of the 6XX fields used for subjects.
In VE/NDE, those subject headings include double dashes for subdivisions in full details display, but in the browse by subject function, we have to exclude those dashes when using Browse by subject.
This is very inconsistent behaviour.
Primo Classic handled browse by subject much better. It was able to incorporate all fields used for display_subject and it displayed the headings in the Browse exactly as displayed in the full records, with the subdivision dashes.
In Primo Classic, the dashes were also ignored so you got the same result whether you added the dashes or not when browsing by subject.
In VE/NDE, you need to exclude those dashes, because when you include them, you get unexpected results... and that is in addition to displaying only the MARC 650 for LC headings (and not any of the other subjects).
