Manually reorder researcher education history
Currently you cannot reorder the education history in a researcher record or via the profile. When you add education (without date information) through the profile or researcher record, it automatically creates a new row at the bottom of the list. Thus, if you are adding education information that was missed, this could result in the list not being sorted chronologically. Adding dates in does allow the sort to work properly, but only if you have dates for all education entries. If you only have partial dates, it will sort the numbered entries correctly, and the unnumbered ones will be sorted at the top of the list.
This is incredibly cumbersome and time consuming to resolve since there is no functionality to drag entries to the correct location. When incorrectly sorted entries are found, these have to be manually deleted and re-entered in the correct order.
Presumably/hopefully Researchers will be able to clean this up themselves, but it seems like basic functionality that exists for other fields and would be simple enough to implement for this one. It also aids in our ability to reduce the amount of cleanup researchers are required to do.

Dear Elyse,
We implemented a drag and drop option to reorder the education section in the profile (by the researcher, accessible through the "Settings / Edit Profile" section.
Other profile areas have re-order drag and drop options as well - Links, Honors and Research Topics.
We currently do not have re-order functionality by the admin in the information management hub for the education section, and no configuration to control the order of display.
In case this is sufficient for this request, let us know so we can close this idea.
If there is still a need for making these changes in the information management hub - I would suggest opening a separate idea request.
Thank you for your suggestions!
