    Just as an example of how this causes confusion, we have non-ETD student works in our repository that have the Theses and Dissertations field visible (but these aren't ETD works). The backend metadata lists our institution as the awarding institution in the brief metadata display, but when you open the record there's no place to edit/remove that information. Ex.: https://hdl.handle.net/20.500.12741/rep:2614
