Show author & date in Normal view (RW3)
For users with hundreds of records, we need to identify references in a long list of similar titles. Author or date sorting doesn't help if that info isn't visible. Normal view could be more citation-like, please.
We released an update to the normal view that shows the author and date in Normal view.

Please add a First Author et al. option. I don't need to see all 12 authors in a citation. I'd like to see the first author only. The current views take up too much space, and I can't see enough citations in one view. Thanks for making these improvements.

Thank you for adding the Table display. That is a big help, but not a fix for Normal view, because Table doesn't let me open the attached PDF of an article. Is there any update on tweaking Normal?

Is there any update on when this might be improved? Here is user feedback from this week:
o “normal” view appears to be of limited usefulness for us - there is too little information in this view.
o Sorting seems like it could be useful feature; however, I found it hard to determine if the references were actually sorted. The titles do not appear in an alphabetical list, even after sorting. I found myself scrolling back and forth many times before I could find the reference I was looking for.
o Sorting by author: Even after sorting by author, the title is still more prominent than the author. I know that this is a stylistic choice; however, in my opinion, if I am sorting by author, the author should be the most prominent line item as this is clearly what is most relevant to me in this view. -

I don't think this was in the recent new features, so hopefully in the fall?
