Improve sensitivity of deduplication function
I find that even if I use all the deduplication choices "Exact match", "Close match" and "Legacy close match", there are still many duplicates left. I would like a more sensitive deduplication function.

Seeing references imported from Google Scholar, its "Source Name" field is "Google". Is it possible to change it to "Google Scholar"?

Different sort orders with different reference types
The Cite Them Right 11th edition Harvard style should have films sorted in the reference list by director, not title. But this is not possible because different reference types cannot have different sort orders. Could that be changed?

Make DOI field available automatically for manual reference input
DOI field is the most important for manual reference input (journal). However it is not visible automatically and has to be added. However this has to be done each time which is very inconvenient with a large number of references. Can it be made automatically available on ref input screen or give option to select our choice of fields for this screen
24 votesWe are happy to announce that this has been implemented in the RefWorks September release. DOI is now automatically available in the Reference Editor. For more information, please visit 2022 RefWorks Release Information.

Archival material
Would you please consider creating a reference type for "archival material?" I'm doing a fair amount of primary source research in archives and whatnot and it would be awesome to have an appropriate reference type in RW.

Allow verbatim text from author field
Have the option to remove the automatic 'Last name, first name' format of the author field and instead pipe verbatim text into references. This would especially help when the author is an organisation.

Using Word Add-In and Plug-In with Track Changes and Comments
Many students are working on extensive research papers using RefWorks plug-in or add-in in Word. They work with a faculty, using Track Changes and comments (either through sharing or saving and sending).
There needs to be a section about how to safely use Track Changes with RefWorks. I had a student have a capstone paper really messed up and it was believed by tech support that track changes was the culprit.
This is how people work and collaborate, so we need to understand up front how to safely use RefWorks and Track Changes in a Word document.
A video would…8 votesContent controls and track changes are both features of Microsoft Word; additional information was added to knowledge center article: https://knowledge.exlibrisgroup.com/RefWorks/Product_Documentation/RefWorks_User_Guide/0500_RefWorks_Add-ons%3A_Connecting_Your_Browser%2C_Microsoft_Word%2C_and_Google_Docs_to_RefWorks/002_RefWorks_Citation_Manager#Using_RCM_for_Word_with_Track_Changes_and_Comments

Make it faster
For something that it paid for, my RefWorks is always moving REAL slow compared to other paid reference managers I've used (mainly EndNote). RefWorks seems to have trouble handling the 2,000+ references I've accumulated (and continue to accumulate) over my career.
0 votesThank you for your feedback. We have introduced improvements to optimize performance in RefWorks. Note, that performance is also affected by connection speeds, as RefWorks is a cloud-based service.

"Refworks Citation Manager (RCM)"
I would like "Refworks Citation Manager (RCM)" to appear explicitly in Tools / Cite references in the word processor / Microsoft word, since it is surprising not to find this term, because in the videos he is mentioned

Enable customizing the dash between the page numbers
RefWorks automatically uses a dash between page numbers in bibliography and I can't customize the dash. My uni requires us to use en dash in bibliography and I have to always edit it to the bibliography after creating it. It would be so much easier if i could customize the dash in citation style editor.

New Folder
Importing a citation from an external source, the site asks what folder. Can you put a create folder ability on the window? The window 'pull' down that lists my current folder/location. It would be helpful to have the ability to create a new folder there. Right now, you have to go out of the import window, etc.
Also, importing citations, the same window asking for the location. When you select a check box, the window doesn't auto close (which it should). To close your selection, you must mouse click out on the page. Then the window closes, but doesn't show…

Allow page numbers to be included in in-text citation for books in Google Doc AddOn
It is currently not possible to add a specific page number or page range to an in-text citation when citing pages from a book. It is very common to need to cite particular pages, rather than a full book, so I expect this feature would be widely welcomed and used. Thank you!

Allowing tags to be searched across shared folders
The professor was using a RefWorks shared folder for a class where the entire class worked on the bibliography for a major data research project. Each student needed to get credit for the number of good references they found so they tagged their references with their name. The professor found she couldn't search for the names to see all that student's references since tag search was limited to the tags she created. Our workaround was to create a shared project rather than a shared folder. That then meant all tags were shared. It's not necessarily a problem without a solution,…

Add a ref type for "tv progamme" and/or "streamed video"
We would like more reference type options to support users adding content from streaming platforms such as BBC iplayer and the BUFVC site Box of Broadcasts. Currently we only have the basic 'video' option which is fine for adding films which require details such as director, distribution company etc. but the information needed to reference a tv broadcast in our Cite Them RIght Harvard style is quite different. An additional reference type would allow us to configure this to accomodate both types of video content.

+Yellow pop-up menace+
I propose that this pop-up have a box to tick to say 'I understand' and for the pop-up to then disappear.
The pop up says:
This view is limited to 2000 references. For suggestions on how to work with lists of more than 2000 references, please see Ex Libris Knowledge Center
I have 79 references at present. This pop up is irrelevant. I would like to be able to x off the pop up permanently, or until my references reach 1900.
Thank you.

Allow alteration of Tags at import
Without increasing the number of clicks to import, please add the function to change tags at import. This function could be added to the Import References/Assign to Folder page without requiring additional clicks if the user is happy with the tags being brought in.

Trying to locate the needed reference to cite in RCM is very difficult. Can't search within a specific folder. Can't search for more than one term or a phrase. If too many results are found no way to narrow further. Help!
