follow local folder
I save all the PDFs of my papers on a local folder. It will be great if RefWorks could follow this folder and add the reference automatically as soon as I save it to my drive.

Problem: RefWorks in Word (64-bit) does not communicate with my RefWorks folders.
Hello,
When I open Word, RefWorks Write-N-Cite-tool reports the following (see screenshot). When I try to add citation in Word, none of my folders is shown. In the RefWorks website, however, everything is normal. What should I do?
Thank You!

Built in pdf converter
When a reference isn't in pdf format, I have to convert it to a pdf, then use a third-party program to OCR the content, in order for the document to be able to be read and highlighted in RefWorks. It would be nice if RefWorks had a converter built in that recognizes many files types and converts them automatically to the format it will recognize. Some pdfs that we have OCR'ed are still not recognized by RefWorks. This is frustrating for faculty and students, and the librarians who wish to help them.

Allow author disambiguation citation style changes
With multiple references from same author, same year, the citation currently uses full stops when adding the author's initials. I have citation style set up to not use full stops (just initials) but RCM defaults to full stops. Can custom citations styles please be accepted by RCM?

Make it works
There are many potential improvements related with notes, how to find words, etc. But I would be happy if, at least, the poor functionalities that it has, could work properly.
After contacting support service months ago, problems remains the same or even worse.1 vote -
Make it faster
For something that it paid for, my RefWorks is always moving REAL slow compared to other paid reference managers I've used (mainly EndNote). RefWorks seems to have trouble handling the 2,000+ references I've accumulated (and continue to accumulate) over my career.

Colour settings
I am supporting a student with severe visual impairment for whom colour contrast is vital. The white background in RW is a problem. Could RW be developed to allow the colours to be changed? In her case she finds a black background with white writing best for her disability.
3 votesWe recommend using a browser add-on to change colour contrast. It can be used for RCM as well if using the online rather than desktop version of Word. Delete pp. from article numbers
I just realised that RW puts pp. in front of an article number. As far as I know this is not correct.

To export from EndNote to RefWorks, export your references to an RIS file. More details can be found here: https://knowledge.exlibrisgroup.com/RefWorks/Product_Documentation/RefWorks_User_Guide/0400_Managing_References#Importing_References

**Yellow Pop-Up Menace**
There is a persistent yellow pop up, which won't go away, no matter how many times you click the X.
I propose it should disappear after the first click, or have a box to say 'don't show this message again'.
Please vote for this - it's a menace.
3 votesThis pop up is an important downtime notification and will appear until the scheduled downtime on Dec. 19th at 11PM EST.

The Journal Name shown as Null
I have recently faced a problem when I imported multiple references and at the end when I made the bibliography, some of the references were showing journal name as NULL, while on doi link the journal name was OK. I had to write 5 journal names by myself out of total 32 references. Do not know what went wrong though.

Allow me to print out abstracts to enable easy review of articles
Please allow me to print out my references, including the abstract so I can quickly sort out the main articles to use for citation after a large searching exercise
0 votesThank you for your feedback. We will not be building this feature at this time, as we offer many citation styles which display abstracts. We recommend generating a bibliography, which can be copied and pasted anywhere.

Link button in table view
Right now to view a source you have to click on the source, go to the sidebar that pops up, scroll down, and copy the URL text into the browser address bar. Putting a link to the source right in the table view for all your sources seems incredibly simple.
