Bring back the "preview" visible on hovering over the title
Our users really miss being able to see the preview in the right-hand pane when they hover over the title in their search results. Please bring it back, or last make this optional!

As part of the July 2017 release, we added the ability to hover over the preview link or icon to activate the preview pane below the result.

I'd like to see this idea re-worked to describe the actual problem you are trying to solve. My understanding of the problem is that (aside from people getting used to something and being grumpy when it changes) users like to be able scan the abstracts and the either don't see the Preview link or don't register that that is where the abstract lives. Potential solution for me is to include the abstract in the brief results (it appears to be for books, but not articles) with a more link. Brent advised that the hover concept was an accessibility issue, so surely making it optional is still a breach in terms of their compliance....
