  1. BL event Type needed in Alma Analytics

It would be really useful to have BL Event type in Analytics, to improve widgets that our Doc Del team use to work on current requests.

  2. LTI Relink to reading list

Currently, LTI links default to going to the course (ie the list of reading lists). If only one reading list is visible to a user, that will open directly, which fooled us into thinking of it as a reading list link, but it is really a course link.

Instructors can relink these LTI links to a specific citation, or to a specific section - it would be useful if they could also relink them to a specific reading list.

When rollover is performed, the relinked item should point to the rolled over (new) reading list, in the same way as…

  3. In the Alma Reading list view of citations, allow Citation Last Modification Date to take operators such as 'before/after or between' etc

It would make some checks on reading lists easier if it was possible to more effectively filter the citations displayed, not just by the facets, but by having additional operator options for the Citation Last Modification Date. Having not just a specific date but before/after and between dates would make this more powerful.

It might be useful it it was possible be more intelligent here by offering a date since list sent for review, etc

  4. Leganto integration with MS Teams

With the Covid-19 pandemic and subsequent lockdown, online learning has increased dramatically at our institution. Many instructors use Microsoft Teams for teaching, document sharing and communication with their students and spend most of their working days in their “permanent MS Teams classrooms”. It will be beneficial to, besides having Leganto available in the LMS and embedding a sharable Leganto reading list link in MS Teams, to have Leganto available as an app to add as a tab to the Teams the instructors have built for their courses. See screen capture attached.

  5. Library Discussion Notes - glowing indicator when accessed from notification 'bell' icon

Some users report it is difficult to find Library Discussion Notes at the reading list level and also at the citation level.

When they log into Leganto, and click on the 'bell' icon for notifications, it would be great if when they click the "New Library Discussion..." within the notifications, the screen would clearly show the new note with a bold red text or a glowing box on the new messages they received.

It would be even better if Library Discussion was positioned before the Related Items and defaults to being open and easily spotted.

    Thanks!

  6. Add courses to User API

We have a regular feed of user data from our student information system (SIS) into Alma. The SIS also holds course data, so we'd like to be able to simply include course enrolment data in the existing feed, rather than set up a separate process.

As well as one process being better than two :-) it's a more practical fit to how the data is available. The current process for course enrolment in Leganto requires us to run one job for added courses and one job for deleted courses. But our SIS can't create a list of courses that have…

  7. Filter / Remove 'notes' from material type filter

Notes are not a type of citations and shouldn't be grouped with books, journals, articles, websites, etc.
They could easily be moved to filter-group that contains due dates and likes.

  8. section permalinks in Analytics or API

We currently manually adding permalinks to Insendi, which is a VLE that Imperial staff have created and are selling to other universities. Some Imperial staff want to put specific section permalinks into specific weekly VLE posts. It would be better, if we could give them a list of permalinks from a Analytics or API export.

  9. Section IDs in Analytics

We currently have an issue where staff are wanting to add Section permalinks into a VLE called Insendi. It would be great if Section IDs added to Analytics or to the API. In order that we could create a report that creates section permalinks to be added to Insendi.

  10. Section Link from LTI to be able to go directly to section or collapse all other sections. So that you only see the specific section.

Currently when a users uses a section link via the LTI. The reading list open at the top of the page, with all but one section open. However, if the reading list has over 4 sections before the section that is the main section. The user needs to scroll down to that section, this is not user friendly. It would be better, if when a user opens a section via the LTI, it takes the user directly to the section as the permalink does. Or collapses all other sections, so that only the section is showing.

  11. course terms - change code to correspond with description

We are about to start using Terms in Leganto. However, we have seen that you can only change the description of TERM1 etc. not the code. Therefore it is very confusing to remember TERM1 is All Year or TERM9 is Short Module - Spring. This will be difficult to work with when creating the course loader files for the annual rollover. It would be much better if you could change the code as well as the description in the course terms mapping table, so they match.

  12. List filter: Move Notes from 'Types' to 'Subject'

The Filter tab contains four different categories: Section, Tag, Type, Subject.
Notes are sorted in 'Type' even though they are not a type of citation. Ideally they should be sorted in 'Subject'

  13. Ability to configure citation status set when reading list submitted to library

It would be useful to be able to configure the citation status applied when a reading list is sent to the library for review via the Course Reserves Automatic Status settings.

Currently submitting the reading list changes a citation status from BeingPrepared to ReadyforProcessing, however being able to set which citation status to change this to would be beneficial, particularly if libraries are using custom additional citation statuses. Citation statuses are a useful way to be able to communicate progress of titles on lists to academic staff

  14. Add year field to course bulk update job

The course bulk update job can be used to update most of the key fields for each course, eg terms, start dates - but not the year.

We don't want to have to update the year field manually for all of our courses, so can this option be added to the course bulk update job?

  15. Bulk updating of citations across reading lists

    Situation
One of our tasks in checking reading lists is ensuring that the version of each title is the latest edition. Acquisitions staff will check book citations on a reading list and, if there is a newer edition available, purchase and replace the citation on the list with this new version.

    Problem
When a specific title is used on multiple lists, Acquisitions staff are having to manually identify all citations using this title, add the newer edition to the reading list, and remove the older edition from the reading list.

Staff are also having to manually transfer any specific reading/public/resource…

  17. Display logo and favicon in the Leganto configuration area

When we upload a header logo and/or a Leganto favicon, it doesn't show in the configuration area. Having it there would improve the experience because it would be easy to see if you had uploaded a logo/icon or not, and which one it was.

This isn't a huge problem, but it also seems like it could have a simple solution - just display the file and filename in the Alma config.

  18. Option to rename/customise the Rialto 'Add Items' search scope

We have recently turned on the option for instructors to 'add items' using Rialto but this terminology is confusing for them.

We would like the option to customise this heading e.g. 'Search our book supplier' or 'Rialto (Library book supplier)'
This should encourage use and facilitate training.

We would much prefer instructors use Rialto rather than Cite It to harvest from publisher websites. Cite It often misses key bib information and/or brings in erroneous e-links.
