Add broken link reporting option to citation ellipsis menu
Hello there,
A student user navigating through a Leganto list sees the "View Online" button with the citations directly available in the list, without having to click into the full view each citation to access the content.
They just click on the View Online circled in pink (see attached doc), and that opens a new tab in the browser bringing them to the content.
If this link does not work, how can they report as a broken link? They have to conscious that it is necessary to fully open the citation up, and then click on the "Mark as broken" (circled in blue) which is associated with the electronic inventory record display in Primo.
But their reading list journey begins and for the most part will stay in Leganto without having to expand out the citations to their full view. Student users are used to clicking on options from the citation ellipsis menu (circled in green) to add citations to their collection, mark as done, etc.
The ability to report a broken link should be within this citation ellipsis menu, circled in green.
Thanks
Kevin

I agree that this would be beneficial. Testing with students have shown that they're unlikely to click on the overlay window of a citation if they can usually see the information they need (e.g. availability) directly in the list. Using the citation ellipses to report broken links would be an improvement, I feel, on the current situation.
