  1. Support for Microsoft Authentication Library (MSAL)

    Currently MSAL is not yet written into the campusM infrastructure. This is to request to add MSAL support to campusM so that it integrates with Microsoft Intune SDK to enforce security measures.

  2. Enhance greeting PI "image" to accept a base64 image from RestAPI instead of direct link url

    Current the RestAPI for the image on the greeting tile expects on open web image url to be returned in the json response to fetch the "avatar" e.g.

    {
    "photo": "https://example.edu/photo.png"
    }

    In our institution at least our student photos which we expose to apps via RESTApis never send the url link to the requester but after verification delivers the image as a base64 stream for the requesting app to convert. Requiring the images to be on an open url exposes images to anyone just putting the url and changing user name to get photos of other accounts.…

  3. Quick Polls - Improvements

    • Add a facility for users to anonymise their response on submission

    Within the Quick Poll creation page we can choose to set a poll as 'anonymous' but this doesn't allow users to submit anonymously on polls where we haven't selected this option. Some users are more likely to submit if they feel their data is not gathered alongside and all feedback is valuable.

    • Enable images in Quick Polls

    Having the ability to present image options to users to vote on, instead of just text, would have been useful when we undertook our recent Home Page re-branding exercise. We…

  4. extend the length of time that a notification can be viewed more than 90 days.

    We have state requirements for some notifications to be listed for longer than 90 days. Some are for the whole year. Currently we would have to do a notification multiple times a year to be compliant. If there was a way to have the notification not expire or be able to see past notification past 90 days.

  5. Attendance check-in: make check-in code display larger or add ability to change size

    We have received feedback from both students and lecturers to say that the iSheffield check in code is rather small, especially when viewed on a mobile phone, so we would like to suggest either increasing the size of the check-in code font when displayed, or to introduce the ability for users to change the font size themselves.

  6. Progress bar colour changes for 'Lists'

    It would be great if we could configure a colour scheme for the progress bar that sits within 'Lists'. Like a traffic light system. For example if we had a list of 10 items and between 0% and 30% complete - the bar were to be coloured red, between 30% and 90% complete - the bar were to be coloured amber, and for 100% complete - the bar were to be coloured green - I think this would be really beneficial for the user to see instantly how they are getting on. Thanks

  7. Include native app version in analytics platform

    Using the analytics system we can see things like the proportion of students using different device operating systems, but we cannot see the proportion of students using different versions of the native app. It would be very useful to see how many students were picking up the latest version vs those on older versions, and ultimately to be able to pick out the students who would benefit from updating for instance if they are experiencing a problem with the application.

  8. Custom CampusM links in the portal

    To create a custom link in the portal for tiles (e.g., portalname.com/custompart) so that users could be easily transferred to a specific tile's content within the portal.

    While many deeplinking options are available (see: https://knowledge.exlibrisgroup.com/campusM/Product_Documentation/Appendixes/B_Working_with_App_URLs ) deeplinking to any tile is currently not supported. We will review this further with our R&D team.
