Ability to edit and translate error message from "Temporary Result-Limit Due to High Traffic"
In March 2026, a temporary 500-result limit was introduced to combat bot activity, along with a new error message to inform end users. Unlike other system messages in Primo VE, this message cannot be edited or translated.
A "full solution" is planned for the June 2026 release, but the error message itself appears to be a lasting fixture for users who hit the 500-result limit. For multilingual Primo VE installations, which make up a significant portion of the global user base, an untranslatable, unconfigurable message creates a persistent inconsistency in the user experience. Even for monolingual English institutions, the lack of configurability is still a limitation.
The ask is simple: allow institutions to configure this error message like any other label, including editing the text and adding translations, consistent with how other system messages are handled.
