Primo NDE UI: position of "Expand my results"
In Primo NDE UI the function "Expand my results" is located with “All filters”, which are closed by default.
Since "Expand my results" is not a filter but precisely an expansion, our patrons, who are not familiar with how CDI search operates, will never look it up among "All filters".
We would like this function to be moved elsewhere, maybe on top of the results list, after the quick filters.77 votesThanks for this idea.
We are planning to change the location of the "Expand my results" toggle - it might be similar to the way it currently displayed in the citation trail page.
This will also address the cases where there is only 1 results and the toggle is not displayed in such cases.

Primo NDE UX, main menu links labels
In Primo NDE UX, in the top bar, the main menu links labels display in just one line, therefore if one label is long the link takes more space.
However, the number of links to appear depends on how much space they take. The result is that with languages which use long words, such as Italian or German, less links appear than in Primo VE, where the labels could wrap in more than one line.
We would like the ability of breaking labels in more than one line to be reinstated.69 votesHi,
This is to update that we plan to improve the main menu display in the NDE UI.

NDE: Make all search profile slots visible in the drop-down list without the need for scrolling
We are currently testing the NDE and have noticed that when we go to the search profile slot drop-down to choose a filter (please see attached image), we see only three of our four search profile slots at a time and have to scroll down to see the fourth. In our current Primo VE, all four options are visible without a user's having to scroll (please see attachment). Could visibility of all search profile slots in the drop-down list be restored in the NDE?

We will work on changing the current display of the search scopes so more values will be displayed upfront.

Make it easier to re-order Primo display details in Full Record Services
When configuring the order of "details" fields in Configuration -> Discovery -> Configure Views: [View Profile] -> Full Record Services: Details, Alma users are only able to re-order fields by moving them up or down one table entry at a time. Anytime you add a new field, it's added to the end of the list by default. In our case, we have almost 50 different display fields, and if we want that new field to appear near the top of the list, we have to scroll down and click the Up arrow for that field 50 times to bring it…

Collection Discovery: allow searching subcollections' contents at the collection level
Currently, when a user searches in a collection, Primo only returns objects that are directly located under this collection, ignoring any contents located in subcollections. This means that the user needs to open each subcollection and do the search again to discover all objects included in the collection. This is cumbersome and counter-intuitive. We would like that the search results also include objects and subcollections located at lower levels in the hierarchy.

Library Card page
I think it would more user-focused if the "Library Card" dashboard listed all of the requests and loans in one spot, regardless of the lending library. Many users are unaware of which library they've requested an item through - it would be nice if there was only one dashboard for patrons to check on the status of everything in one spot.

Add very compact display option, 1 row per title
Please add a really compact additional display option
– 1 row per title
– no iconto allow an overview / quick scanning of long result lists.
When I do a search on my laptop, I see two titles on the result list and the start of a third.
Default number of results for the compact display should be 100 or more.
And it should be a setting in the patron account.

Provide option to collapse the Details area of the full record display
We would like to be able to collapse the Details area of the full record display by default in order to reduce clutter. This ability would be configurable ie libraries could choose whether to hide or show by default the Details information.
If configured, we would like to see the heading 'Details' beside a chevron or similar icon that indicates information is hidden. When the user clicks on this icon, the full bibliographic details will appear.

Active Links in Journal Record when Searching in Journals
Currently when you search for a journal in a general search the full record will have links to the author, subject heading, etc. When you use the actual Journal Search this links are not available. It would be nice to have active links in this record as well.
150 votesThank you for this idea.
We plan to support hypertext linking in the Journal and Database pages in the New Primo Experience user interface (using configuration).
Best regards

Primo New UI : Allow OTB ordering of full record display sections
The New UI does not allow libraries to easily configure the order of the sections in the full record display.
We would like an Out of the Box solution to re-order the full record display. For example: We would like to move the ViewIt section to the top, and move the Actions sections to sit after the Details section.

account request date
Add the request's date on the user's account
We would like that the user can see the date when he makes a request (hold or ILL) on his account.
We think that's will be an improvement for the users.
92 votesThanks for submitting this idea.
We will add the request date to the requests area in the NDE UI.
