    My institution would also greatly appreciate a pre-made book band or book strap instead of needing to create custom code. As the original suggestion says, OCLC has this functionality. The book band contains information that is useful for the patron: their name, the due date, the citation, and a URL for renewing and our ILL email address. As other commentors have mentioned, the book band also allows staff to check in the book faster. However, the primary purpose is for patron.
