Add a warning message when a user submits a potential duplicate request in Rapido
We would like to suggest that Rapido include a warning message when a user tries to submit a request that appears to be a duplicate of a recent one (same title, author, or identifier).
This would help avoid unintentional duplicate requests, which may occur due to navigation errors or confusion.
Suggested message: “You have already submitted a request for this item. Are you sure you want to place another request?”
This feature would improve the overall user experience by alerting users when they are about to submit a potentially duplicate request. It would help prevent unnecessary or accidental submissions and, as a result, reduce the workload for interlibrary loan and resource sharing staff. They currently have to identify and manage such cases manually, when 2 different items are requested by the same patron.
Configuration/fulfillment/general/ other settings/ check_patron_duplicate_borrowing_requests set to 'true' will prevent the user from placing duplicate request
