Duplicate publication submission alert
When a researcher is submitting an asset via the researcher profile add content button I would like to see Esploro match to an existing asset. Particulary if the match is on a unique identifier such as a doi for electronic assets or an ISBN for a book. Currently the assets submitted via the profile need to be searched in the backend by library staff to ensure that the asset doesnot already exist in the repository. When the researcher enters a doi and there is an exact match they should be given the option to "display this asset in my profile". Esploro would then list the authors/creators and allow the Researcher to add their affiliation to the asset. They would then be prompted to add any additional files e.g. "would you like to add any files to this asset" e.g. an accepted manuscript.
This would reduce the workload on Library staff having to search for every asset submitted and increase the amount of Open Access in the repository.
