How can we improve Pivot-RP?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".

  3. Please let us choose timing for sending newsletter

    Hi Pivot-RP Team,

    Could you please allow us to specify more delivery times for sending newsletters. The system allows us to send newsletters at two USA time zones which coincides with 9pm and 4am Australia time, hence it lowers visibility counts by users. Therefore we need to send newsletters during working hours of Australian timing zone.

  5. More options regarding frequency to receive funding alerts

    There should be a broader menu of options on how often to receive a funding alert. Right now, it's every Sunday.

    The faculty at my institution would like a once per month option. Once per week is overwhelming for them and results in too many emails. We're a small university and don't have departmental staff to help faculty sift through all of the results.

    Thus, a drop down bar that allows users to choose their frequency would be best: maybe daily, weekly, every two weeks and monthly.

  6. Add Institution Type Criteria to Advanced Searches to Ensure Eligibility

    It was brought to my attention that the SPIN database allows users to make selections regarding "Institution Type" (or something like that) when creating an advanced search. We realized that since we don't have this capability, we really ought to be adding a disclaimer to the curated searches we share, because there's no way to ensure that the list includes only opps that our institution is eligible to apply to. It would be helpful for Pivot to begin tracking and labeling this criteria for opportunities, especially those that are eligible only to MSIs or HBCUs.

  9. List of collaborators on expert profile pages

    When looking for experts in a given field, if they don't have the very specific expertise, or there is a need to identify others in the same field, having a list of co-authors and collaborators listed on the expert profile page would be helpful.

  10. Export and save Awarded Grant data

    Ability to save Awarded Grant searches and export results. Visualizations or additional facets to make this data more flexible would also be great!

  11. Add "match any/match all" choice to keyword field in Conferences and Papers Invited

    Similar to how it works for funding opportunities, it would be useful to toggle to "match all" in the keyword field for Conferences and Papers Invited to narrow down results.
