  1. Allow users to link their ProQuest MyResearch account to New RefWorks

At the moment, you can only link the two if you have an account in the old RefWorks.

I am happy to update that this has been completed. MyResearch users who have a (new) RefWorks account can link their accounts. Refer to the release notes for more information: https://knowledge.exlibrisgroup.com/RefWorks/Release_Notes/RefWorks_Release_Information/070_2021_RefWorks_Release_Information#Integration_between_RefWorks_and_My_Research
  2. Legacy vs New Proquest button does not save choice to always choose

The "don't ask me this again" checkbox does not work. I need to make this choice everytime I import. Even after clearing cookies.

  3. Sign Up Interface - Customize/change "Enter your [University] email to begin"

Need the ability to customize the word "University" in the sign-up interface, or change to "Institutional"/"Organization". This causes much confusion at sign-up because we are not a university, but have many affiliated/cross appointed university staff causing account confusion.

  7. Display Institutional Output Style

Please display the institutional output styles always when we open the menu to select it on the pull down of New RefWorks. Legacy version has "favorites" to display the specific styles for each institution.

  8. +Yellow pop-up menace+

I propose that this pop-up have a box to tick to say 'I understand' and for the pop-up to then disappear.

    The pop up says:

This view is limited to 2000 references. For suggestions on how to work with lists of more than 2000 references, please see Ex Libris Knowledge Center

I have 79 references at present. This pop up is irrelevant. I would like to be able to x off the pop up permanently, or until my references reach 1900.

    Thank you.

  9. Remove database permalinks from APA 7 formatted citations

The various APA 7 citation styles reference list citations erroneously include the permalink to database records when exported from such database vendors as ProQuest and EBSCOhost., as shown here:

Kudlats, J., & Brown, K. M. (2021). Knowing kids makes a huge difference, part II: Advancing a conceptual framework for positive principal-student relationships. Journal of School Leadership, 31(5), 451-477. https://ezproxy.bethel.edu/login?url=https://search.ebscohost.com/login.aspx?direct=true&db=eric&AN=EJ1312200&site=ehost-live&scope=site http://dx.doi.org/10.1177/1052684620935384

Because so many of our databases come from these vendors, our users are required to extensively edit their reference lists. While we always advise the necessity of proofing and editing RefWorks citations, such a glaring and consistent error discourages our…

  10. Please add the "Duplicate" [citation] option from Legacy to new.

Please add the option to duplicate a citation from Legacy to new Refworks. I have used it often, and find it a quick way to add similar citations that are not from a literature database. It's the "Duplicate" button from the "Edit" option that I miss already. Thanks.

  12. Show Date added in Normal View

When sorted by Date added in Normal View, it is better that the date added to be displayed for each record.

  13. Displaying folders in own citation style

In RefWorks legacy, you could immediately see which folders a reference was in. – No matter in which view the references were output on the screen.
Now this works only in Normal or Full View.

This display would also be very useful in self-created citation styles, especially if a reference has been saved in multiple folders.

  14. Replace interstitial page with login page that directs users to Legacy or New depending on credentials

The interstitial page confuses our students because if they are new to RefWorks, they have no idea which option to choose. If you could replace the interstitial page with a log in page - that includes the option to create an account (this would go to New RefWorks) - everyone would be so much happier.

  15. APA 6th no date and multiple same author no date

When there is no date entered for a reference, Refworks should automatically default to n.d. and when there are more than one publication in the same year with the same author RCM should cite as per APA, i.e. Surname, n.d.-a; Surname, n.d.-b.

  17. RCM Improve Search

Trying to locate the needed reference to cite in RCM is very difficult. Can't search within a specific folder. Can't search for more than one term or a phrase. If too many results are found no way to narrow further. Help!

  18. Archival material

Would you please consider creating a reference type for "archival material?" I'm doing a fair amount of primary source research in archives and whatnot and it would be awesome to have an appropriate reference type in RW.

  19. Remove case sensitive restrictions on account registration

Clients attempting to create new accounts receive the "We're sorry, but it seems your institution does not have a RefWorks subscription" message when capital letters are used in an email address, but are able to create accounts when typing addresses in lowercase letters. A "case sensitive" message would help to resolve this confusion. Alternatively, and better, would be to simply make this field not case sensitive.

  20. Localised variations of referencing styles

Is there a way that our RefWorks accounts can link into the various styles of referencing used by various institutions in Ireland? Hospital staff attend courses in various 3rd level institutions throughout the country and the referencing styles used seem to have localised variations when compared to the styles listed in RefWorks.
