Opt out of Catalog Match-and-Merge but Keep Full-Text Augmentation
One of the most valuable features of Summon is the full-text indexing augmentation of physical collection catalog records. The feature allows discovery of many items that wouldn't be found otherwise.
Unfortunately, if a site opts out of catalog match-and-merge, it loses full-text indexing of its physical collection. I propose separating the configuration of the two features so that a site could opt out of merging its metadata with metadata from other sources but still take advantage of the full-text augmentation.

I support this idea. We had to disable our catalog merge settings due to offensive subject heading cross-references and other random non-subject terms appearing in our Subject Terms facet (like "Colored people" and “Negroes”). It’s unhelpful to have to trade useful functionality in order to preserve metadata quality.
