Stop match and merge different editions from local catalog
In the local catalog different editions have their own records, and it is important for our users to find the right edition. In Summon sometimes local catalog records merge with other local catalog records so that several editions are shown as one. This makes it difficult for our users to see what edition they are looking at. We would very much like Summon not to merge different catalog records from the local catalog with each other.
You can request that your catalog records are excluded from merging. Just go to the Summon Admin Console > Content Ingestion > Catalog Merge Settings. Just drag the catalog you want to be excluded from merging from the Include to the Exclude column and click Save at the bottom. This is an all or nothing setting, so it will impact all catalog records.

Excluding our catalog records for merging is not what we want. We want our catalog records to merge with e-books. Our idea was about preventing records for different editions from our catalog merging with each other. They do not have the same publication year or the same ISBN but merges anyway. See our case number 607669.
Is it possible to bring this idea back? -

Agreed. It becomes very difficult for the user to see the proper edition. As well, the only way I've found to fix the records is to delete and download again all editions separately which loses all stats on previous records. If there is a workaround better than what I have tried, I am open to suggestions.
