Abilty to customise default search screen
The default search screen is currently empty other than the search box and our logo. We would like to add some custom content to the screen - e.g. info boxes suggesting some resources to try that are not discoverable in summon or some help guides. also to flag up new resources or future training events (e.g. on how to search summon and ebooks. When we set up Summon last year we were told that it wasn't possible to put any of this info on the default search screen.

We would like to have the possibility to customize the Summon homepage like PrimoVe, in order to be able to add a bit of introduction text and links.

If users arrive at the main page of Summon, it may be confusing for them to understand what content they are searching. Adding text below the basic search box would be a useful way of adding an explanation (see attached picture for potential placement of text).
Adding a message in this area currently requires use of the external script function in Summon admin. It would be convenient to have a field in the Summon admin to allow the addition of easily customizable text to this part of the page.

Yes. Custom panel is on results page. I need the space for announcement on main page too.

To use the mainpage as startpage for the library also the possibility to add all kinds of information (text or image) below the search bar.

Agreed with the other comment; isn't this what the custom panel in the Topic Explorer pane is for?

We have customised our library home page search box as a work around, but it would be nice to be able to have the landing screen consistent with the limits we've put on our homepage.
