  1. Searching or refining a search with publication year

The citation search in Leganto has been significantly improved with the material type facets.
But it could be made even more efficient and userfriendly with the possibility to search or filter by publication year.
Some publications such as reports have the same title and the time of publication is a good way to differentiate between them and/or easier to remember than a DOI.

  2. Sort citations in Alma by date of alert generated

Citations in Alma can currently be sorted by date created, date modified, citation title and reading list name.

It would be useful if we could sort them by the date an alert has been generated (e.g. date when a user has marked a broken link). We could then prioritise the alerts more effectively as they are actioned.

  3. List Publishing - allow Publish button (from Sept 29 release) to be a Publish/Unpublish toggle)

Further to previous list publication ideas which have been progressed through to being added to Leganto,
    https://ideas.exlibrisgroup.com/forums/395697-leganto/suggestions/33503525-improve-the-visibility-of-publish-list-option

    and
    https://ideas.exlibrisgroup.com/forums/395697-leganto/suggestions/34061209-publish-needs-to-be-become-more-visible-and-a-dual

It would be useful if the September 2019 option to display a Publish button in a list was actually a Toggle between Publish and Unpublish (or Draft).

Currently it is a little confusing (as it was before the Publish button was added as an option) to have the publish button appear, but once clicked, it disappears into the List menu as an 'Unpublish' option.

This is confusing to Instructors as it is not immediately apparent what has happened to the publish…

  4. Search scope of library search in Leganto

When I close Library search, the selected Search scope returns to the default.
We want the Search scope once selected to be retained.

  5. Leganto +ReadingList widget

In adding the +ReadingList widget to the bookmark manager of a browser, you need a two-step process. First click the widget from one's Leganto settings menu and click again on the widget button from the pop-up window. This is more of a user experience issue, many if unfamiliar will choose to drag the widget after clicking on the menu settings and will drag the URL instead of clicking another time to wait for the pop-out window to drag the right widget with the javascript (see below).

  6. Short cuts

Both keyboard shortcuts (hot keys) to reduce mouse use, and ability to add often used pages/functions in a "favorites" linkbar for easy access. Reducing the amount of mouse clicks needed.

  7. Possibility to add item to list and to "My collection" from the same screen

When adding an item to a list from the library search, one is presented with these 3 options: List, Clipboard and Suggestions (see screenshot). It would make sense to be able to add the item to one's collection from there as well. Instead, the instructor has to go to "My collection" and search all over again.

Today, the library can add custom links to the useful links, the help documentation, and the getting started videos. We will not add additional buttons to the header.

  9. Show accurate total of books in stock

The Alma side of Leganto uses the number of copies of a book in total but unlike Primo, does not ignore books marked as 'lost' or 'missing'. Would it be possible for Leganto to show the current total of books in stock (either available or on loan) without any missing/lost ones?

  10. Hide or customise the top and bottom sections of the quick start wizard.

We want instructors to focus in the middle section to create lists. The top section is too broad, instructors have to scroll down to get to the main functionality. The bottom section is irrelevant especially the gif, we can't even change it

  11. Notes added in Alma to default to 'Library' type (rather than 'Instructor')

Notes added in Alma are likely to be for internal use only for Library staff. It would therefore be useful for the note type to default to 'Library' rather than 'Instructor'.

  12. Link to earlier book editions in the student view

To be able to add a link to a reading list to all earlier editions of a book (which are suitable for students to use). The link would need to be visible in the student view and ideally display all the earlier edition books with links.

  13. Allow to embed the reading list page main content area to another webpage

We wish to have a way to embed the reading list page main content area (as attached) to another webpage. Because our library has a webpage for recommended books, and wants to show the reading list embedded in that webpage.

    Thank you

  14. Deactivate the bubble "Add items"

The bubble which pops up when you create a new list and indicates 'Add items' is useless, the 'Add items' button is obvious and does not need a contextual help to be noticed.

Please find attached high level design about the ability to create academic units which may group several academic and/or processing departments.
Please review the document and let us know if you have any remark. We would like to get your feedback if processing department is relevant here.

    Many thanks,

  16. Ability to add items from COLLECTIONS to LISTS.

Right now, there isn't a direct way to add items from Collections to list sections, although you can add from List to Collection. I am not sure why, but it would be great if we can use the Collections section as a canvas, as my wonderful colleague Jane suggested, so there is flow between Lists<-->Collections. Ideally, it would be awesome if there was an option to do this with batch selection (having the ability to select multiple items with the tick box option as it is the case in Collection--see images).

  17. Display Instructor's name along with list title and code in search.

This is a very simply display improvement. Students looking for lists from searchlists often want to find their list by instructor name. Sometimes they will browse by department, or try to find their course amongst other sections and there is no indication of who the list instructor is from the brief list record. Even if they search by that name, they may misspell it and still have to and have to click through to open the course to be assured they have the right list. Adding it with the code at the bottom of the display would be a useful…

  19. Ability to customise the Leganto entry screen to reflect institutional requirements

The screen a) should be able to support basic theme branding to align with institutional branding to support a seamless experience when integrated with an LMS b)support the restructuring of the page to reflect organizational priorities c) support the addition of items and renaming of options using terms relevant to the institution.

We are closing this idea because there have been significant changes to the entry screens and there are many new options for customizing labels and other features since this idea was originally created. Please open a new idea with current requirements if still needed.

  20. Public and Library Tags

Currently both Library and Public tags are a closed, predefined set. It would be a better user experience if tags were open (especially Public tags) and could be created by both Librarians and Instructors, as and when required.

We believe, that tags should be the same across all institution’s lists in order to unify the view to students.
Also, when tags are associated to business activities that will impact the library workflow such as items priority, the same terminology should be applies across all the lists as well.
