Has Ex Libris considered adding an AI-assisted duplicate detection and metadata reconciliation workflow inside Alma/Primo that can automatically identify conflicting local records, community zone updates, and suppressed resources before synchronization? In large academic consortia, we often see situations where locally enriched MARC fields are overwritten during CZ updates or discovery normalization, forcing librarians to build manual workarounds. A configurable ‘pre-merge validation layer’ with rollback history, field-level conflict alerts, and institution-specific preservation rules could dramatically reduce catalog maintenance time while improving trust in automated updates. Has the product team explored anything like this, especially for multi-campus environments using shared discovery indexes and Rapido resource sharing?Slope Game
