Search and reporting option base on subscription model
Currently, there's an option to search portfolios with Purchase Model - e.g. JSTOR DDA Buy, or ProQuest Subscription.
But it's impossible, at least from what we tried, to search further with the information under 'Proquest Subscription Electronic Collection Name". It's odd to have a field (screenshots below) but unable to use the information to search, e.g. University Press Ebook Subscription.3 votes -
"Peer review" indication for academic books
Currently, there is a limiter in discovery to "Peer-reviewed articles" but using this limiter does not bring results from books even by the most celebrated academic publishers. While this information arrives from vendors, it should be a way to search peer-reviewed publications that would exclude magazines but include both peer-reviewed journals and books (or book chpaters) by any academic press.

Ability to edit the full text service for a collection after it's been activated
We need the ability to edit a collection's Full text service to "Automatically activate new portfolios" after it's already been activated. We had a number of collections that were activated incorrectly during migration but didn't discover that until a year later because it took awhile for meaningful CZ changes to occur where we were finally able to determine whether migrated collections were configured correctly. There is nothing (?) in the collection record to indicate what service was activated. We're not able to change the full text service without reactivating the collection again which creates duplicates and involve too much retrospective…

It is possible to reach the service editor either from the collection search row actions (edit service) or from the collection editor 'additional' tab (services appears at the bottom of the page).

Add Expiration Date field to portfolios (for Streaming Video lease tracking)
Libraries lease streaming films for limited periods of time. We need to track the date each film's lease expires so we can delete the portfolio from Alma or take action to lease it for another term. We are currently using the portfolio coverage field to do this, but this is a workaround, not the designed functionality of the field. An Expiration Date field would allow libraries to enter the expiration date into each streaming film portfolio and use Alma searching and Analytics to track the expiring portfolios. It should be indexed in Alma, available in Alma Analytics, visible in the…

When deactivating a portfolio on a list of portfolios in an electronic collection your place in the list should be preserved
When deactivating a portfolio on a list of portfolios in an electronic collection your place in the list should be preserved. Right now it returns you to the top of the list each time.

Do not automatically activate Open Access electronic collections
When new Open Access collections are introduced to Alma, allow the institution to decide if they want to activate the electronic collection, rather than automatically activating it.
1 voteAlma does not automaticly activate collections of any type.
If you have specific examples please opne an SFC -
Option to rank order in which manual jobs run
We have had issues with small activation jobs (15 portfolios) having to wait and wait and wait while large jobs (60,000 portfolios) run very slowly. These small jobs could run very quickly if the large job were paused and the small jobs done first. Could an option be created to allow customers to choose to prioritize small jobs over large instead of prioritizing whichever job was queued first?

Allow Community Zone updates to push silently behind Local Overrides/Exceptions
When we discover that a portfolio or collection has a linking or coverage date problem, we report it to Ex Libris ASAP so updates can be made to the collective. While waiting for them to fix an issue at the CKB level, we put in place a local linking override so our users can access the content for which we pay. We would like to be able to retain access to resources with as few gaps in services as possible.
To go back to the CZ linking or coverage once a fix has been declared, we currently have to remove…
1 voteElectronic resources have global fields that are maintained by Ex libris and local overides fields that are maintained by the customer.
Any changes Ex libris makes to the electronic resources are made to the global fields and are pushed automaticly and reported in the CZ update task list, the overides still take effect until they are deleted.
if you have any local overides the CZ update task list will prompt you to remove them so the global fields will take effect.
you can read more about it https://knowledge.exlibrisgroup.com/Alma/Product_Documentation/010Alma_Online_Help_(English)/040Resource_Management/050Inventory/060Working_with_the_Community_Zone_Updates_Task_List -
Option to update E-book Type
We discovered recently that if the e-book material type is not added before the order is sent, it's automatically assigned to type - Portfolio. We want this to be Books. As there are now two e-material types because of this automation (Books and Portfolio),, it makes reporting difficult. Would it be possible to change the electronic material type at any time?
10 votesIt is possible to set the electronic material type at the portfolio level.

Allow search on Electronic Service values
Enable Searching for Electronic Collection Service values as well as Collection and Portfolio values
Eg Proxy Enabled (Service)
as well as
Proxy Enabled (Electronic Portfolio)
and
Proxy Enabled (Electronic Collection)62 votesThank you for submitting this idea. Alma now supports search by Proxy Enabled (Service) when searching for electronic collections or portfolios.

Allow for searching by Service, Collection, and Portfolio levels distinctly
Repository searching is somewhat vague in what actually gets searched (e.g. Free field & proxy). Some fields that exist in collection & service level are searched but it is not clear in the repository search which level is being searched. Proposing the repository search is more clear in what level & field is being searched AND that the service level is able to be searched as equally as collection & portfolio levels.

Upload electronic holdings job: Add vendor's name information
The name of the vendor is missing in the "Upload electronic holdings job" report.
We can only see the name of the integration type.
To identify the vendor, we have thus to remember the name of the vendors concerned by this integration profile (at this time, Elsevier or Ovid) and the date of the processing job.
As new integration profiles are planned for other vendors (Proquest, Springer,...), this will be no more manageable.
Thus, we would like to see the vendor name in all useful places (reports, "Monitor job" page, "Scheduled job status")34 votesAlready Supported ·

Dear community,
I'm happy to update this idea is already supported. The provider name is part of the job name and is visible in all relevant places - see attached screenshots of Report, Scheduled jobs and Monitor jobs pages.

Ability to delete a CZ linked portfolio from Repository Search>Portfolio list
It would save a lot of time and clicks if it was possible to delete a CZ-linked portfolio from within the repository search, rather than having to identify the portfolio, open it, click on the collection name, then click on 'Additional information', Service, Portfolio list, search for the portfolio again and then click on the delete option from here. We would rather use this for ebooks than simply 'deactivate' as inactive portfolios are still retrieved in a repository search, which causes confusion about what we exactly have access to.

It is possible to delete a CZ linked portfolio from the Electronic Portfolio search results.
We will update the documentation to reflect the above. -
Improve the Record Quality & Coverage for eResources in the Community Zone
Could you please source full level records for eResources in the Community Zone.
The ability to link to records in the CZ is a great feature but if the records are poor or non-existent then this renders eBooks undiscoverable in Primo and will certainly render FRBRization impossible.14 votes -
A search action/filter limited to locally created portfolios (i.e. non-CZ portfolios)
A search action/filter limited to locally created portfolios (i.e. non-CZ portfolios). Among other use cases, it should be a way to keep track of deleted CZ portfolios that have become local portfolios. As I recall, SFX had/has such a search possibility.
4 votesIt is possible to locate local collection and local portfolios using Advanced Search index ‘Is Local’
