Holdings push to MDE
When a group of holdings records requires editing, it would be nice to be able to push just the holdings record to MDE in a batch (select all). As of 7/2021, you either have to view holdings and push to MDE (one by one) or push all bib records (select all) to MDE then update holdings in MDE.

Click through multiple item records to view and edit
When multiple items are attached to a single holdings record, currently there does not appear to be a way to click directly from one item to the next. Instead, we must click out of each item record viewed, go back to the list, and click into an new one. Having the ability to click directly through the list would help greatly when we need to check through the items for consistency in a field, for example. Visible lending numbers and dates
It would be nice to immediately see the lending numbers for a book and the last lending date.
Now you have to click to open this information for each copy + you can only have the information for a single book open at a time (overview is lost)

Include affected barcodes or MMS IDs in Alma job reports
This is a suggestion to include affected barcodes or MMS IDs in Alma job reports, e.g. the Change holding information job. This is helpful for us to study what has happened, or to undo the commands. Currently there is not a way to retrieve affected barcodes in Alma or Analytics. There is a situation that the change holding information has affected the sister item records which are not included in the physical item set to run this job with. Allow regex in description templates
Regex can be used in other places in Alma. Regex should be allowed in description templates to create fewer rules to manage.
I can't translate (in one single rule) all the variations of month ranges (01-02, 01-03, 01-06, 01-12, etc) from numbers to abbreviations. This means I either need dozens of rules or I have to settle for data that is not standardized.

Automatic Designated Copy ID Number Added to New Item Records
I would like the ability to set an automatic copy ID number to designate that the item is a copy "1," instead of having to put the "1" in the copy ID field every time I add an item. Of course I would also need to have the ability to easily change the automatic "1" another copy ID number if I have a 2nd, 3rd, 4th, etc. Voyager had this ability, which saves time when processing a large number of books. Asterisk search with special character in Alma
Currently, Asterisk search with special character in Alma is not supported in ALma.
It would be very useful if Asterisk search with special character is supported in Alma Search.
For example, for cataloging work, Asterisk search of call number can helps librarian to determine if there is an duplicate call number. Also it can help to determine the call number following up.
But for call numbers that contains special characters, the Asterisk search is not supported and can not work as expected.16 votesHello All,

We wish that the report of withdraw items job can provide a list in the detail information
After running the withdraw items job, we hope that the job report could provide a list in detail about the relevant records (including: number of deleted holdings records, number of deleted holdings records, number of deleted holdings, number of deleted bibliographic records, number of suppressed holdings records) so that we can review the detail of the impacted records. Fill in the provenance code of the item according to the acquisition method entered in the purchase order
When you create a PO line, you also create the copies to be received. Among the information is the method of acquisition. The most common one being "purchase", it would be convenient to copy this data in the field "provenance" of the item for example at the time of reception.

Add Fulfillment "Hold Shelf Period" option for total days (rather than only offering open days)
An Alma Institution might have more than one library, and those libraries may have different operating calendars (such as, a branch library may only be open 5 days a week, while, the main library may be open 7 days a week).
It would be more consistent for that institution's patrons if it was possible to have the option to set the "Hold Shelf Period" to be for total days, rather than only having the option for "open days."

Sorting on Physical Items Labels Job
When you run the job named "Export Physical Items Labels", you cant select the order by field on the xml file that ALMA gave you. This is a problem when you take that xml file and with Biaf system print the Labels. For example if you print 100 or 200 Labels you have to search phisically, label by label for paste it on the books.

Allow user to specify "Do not pick from shelf" when using the Add Physical Item workflow
When you create an item for loan as part of the circulation desk workflow (via Fulfillment > Manage Patron Services > Create Item and choosing New), an Acquisition Technical Services work order is created, and Alma assumes (correctly) that the item is in hand.
When you use the manual item creation process (via Resources > Add Physical Item and choosing New), Alma creates a work order without asking if the item is in hand, and assumes (incorrectly) that the item needs to be picked from the shelf.

Improve the export to excel from the physical item records search list
When I export a set of physical item records from Alma to Excel, the Type / Creator / Imprint all end up in one field (column). This means that I can't easily sort by Author name. Please separate these data points into their own columns when exporting for easier manipulation in Excel.

Add a Donor field to the physical item record.
Adding a "Donor" field to the item record would make it easier to track and manage items that are given to the library by a specific donor and reduce multiple Local 591 fields. This information could also then be displayed more prominently in PRIMO. With the donor attached to the actual item, it would help Special Collections departments.

When saving stay on same page and all tabs to be available to edit from start
Currently when a barcode is inserted in a item record (or a URL in an electronic portfolio e.g. for an ebook), it saves automatically and leaves the page immediately, but we may still want to add further information, so it would be preferable for this not to happen.
Also, the items notes and statistical fields do not exist as another tab and therefore cannot be added to until the first page of the item record is completed and saved. All tabs should be available to be filled in from the very beginning.

We want to enable a user with Physical Inventory Operator role to run the job of “Change Physical Items”. According to Alma doc, following roles can run the job:
* Repository Manager,

Prevent choosing an invalid item policy when editing a physical item
When editing the information for a physical item you have the option to select an item policy that overrides the default fulfillment rules for the chosen location. The drop-down list shows all item policies available in the system, regardless if we have configured any corresponding exception rule or not. As we have several item policies that should only be used for specific locations this leads to confusion and mistakes. It is too easy to unknowingly set an invalid item policy without any warning from the system.
