  2. Out of Stock Orders

    When a Rialto item is not currently in stock it doesn’t reflect on the Order (POL) and the status is Sent. Is there something that could be done so that the Rialto status reflects in Alma’s order status? Otherwise, these orders will continue to have the status ‘Sent’. Potential issue during FY close as these orders will encumber into the next FY. Great if it will be published and/or if only a few orders with this status however not so if not. Would also be great if the other statuses that currently don't map to the Alma POL would. See…

    Thank you for your idea. I am closing it because it is an idea that needs to be opened with the Alma team. The status that you're talking about is in the Acquisitions module and would need to be updated to include the status from Rialto for orders placed in Rialto.

  3. Include copies of invoices with shipments

    It would be helpful if we had the option to have print copies of our invoices shipped with our books. This would save us a step of having to immediately search for and download one to affirmatively confirm that everything listed on one actually arrived before payment.

    For customers outside of the UK, it is not possible for us to include the printed invoice with shipments because the invoice is created after the books are shipped. We appreciate your feedback and encourage you to continue to participate in the Ideas Exchange process.

  4. Activate electronic inventory in Alma regardless of invoicing by provider platform for Rialto

    Rialto aligns activation of electronic inventory in Alma with invoicing by the provider platform, except for Rapid Activation providers.
    This causes a poor patron experience when we find that the platform may very quickly activate a resource, but take longer to provide an invoice.
    In sum, the patron doesn’t get the Interested User notice of access for sometimes weeks, only due to paperwork and library staff having to do manual work to follow up orders open for an unexpectedly long period.

    Hello, 

    Elizabeth is correct, we aren't able to activate portfolios until we have been notified by the provider that the item is available. For some platforms, this comes with their invoice. If we make things available before we are notified that they are available there would be times where we didn't have a URL for activation or that if a patron tried to access the item it would not be available on the platform. That being said, we are trying to optimize activation to ensure it happens in Alma as quickly as possible.

  5. Easy access to Rialto 'Orders awaiting approval'

    Currently in Alma you can access the orders awaiting approval in the Tasks widget on the home screen. To get to Rialto orders awaiting approval there a two ways. Through the left flyout menu, taking a few clicks, or by going to settings on the Alma home screen and pinning the Task list (top Alma banner) and having Rialto show. Neither way is easy or convenient like the Tasks widget

  6. add an email notification option for purchase requests

    When a purchase request happens, let us add an email notification. I check email more often than Alma. Orders are a priority I need to be alerted quickly

  7. Assign different loan policies to an order of multiple copies

    Please allow us to assign more than one loan policy to an order for multiple copies. This feature already exists in ALMA for general ordering. The request is to extend this feature to Rialto. Currently we must assign one loan policy to an order and add a receiving note to edit the item settings on receipt.

  9. Internal item specific notes for titles on lists

    It would be great if internal notes could be added to specific items that have been added to lists, with only ppl with access to said list(s) able to see the notes. This feature would be useful for rush/reserve/replacement/special orders when the selector needs to communicate information specific to the item.

  10. Automate workflows for approving or denying alternate editions, and over price threshold

    Right now all this happens via email. It's a cumbersome process and the email only goes to the person who approved the order. If the approval or denial could be integrated into the Rialto workflow process others from the institution could respond.

  12. sort order history

    Not sure if there was a glitch in the system today...
    I ordered 11 items but when I went into the order history, one of the items was not listed , or so I thought, as usually the most recent orders are on page 1. This 'missing' order was on page 3.
    Can the sort feature be enabled such that the most recent orders always appear on page 1?

  13. Next Day Delivery for Non-Serviced Books.

    There are instances where we need to get physical copies of books as quickly as possible. Currently we order them from Amazon but would prefer if Rialto had an option for this. Would be great to place urgent orders with no servicing and receive them within 24 hours.

  14. Apply account credits/deposits from LibCentral in Rialto

    Would like the ability to apply account credits/deposits from LibCentral in Rialto purchases. At this time, in order to pay for a Rialto order with deposit funds, it requires 3 steps.

    1) Wait for invoice to generate
    2) Contact PQ customer support and request that they apply the invoice to deposit funds
    3) Wait for request to process and receive cleared invoice

    This whole series can take several business days to complete. It would save a LOT of staff time and energy on all sides to create this purchase capability in Rialto. At checkout, there should be an option to…

  18. Display fund code as well as fund in order history

    In Order History (including Excel export), include option to display/filter by Fund Code, in addition to Fund. We have multiple cases where a single fund supports multiple fund codes (e.g., endowed fund split across multiple subject funds), often assigned to a single selector. Rialto's purchase details in the order history don't show the specific fund code used, making it especially tough to keep track of remaining balances while those orders await approval.

  19. Allow order template to be applied at selection stage rather than in cart

    Option to add order template at item selection stage to enable users to fill up their cart with multiple items and check out just once per session. Currently a template can only be added once an item is within the cart; meaning a user must remember each item's requirements and apply the correct template if they have a full cart of items, or have to check each item out individually.

  20. Include Call Number / Classification information on Orders Awaiting Approval records

    The appropriate location for physical materials in our library is dependent on the call number. Our selectors don't know the breakdown, and by the time an offer is awaiting approval, the call number/classification information isn't listed in the task list; an approver would have to go back to the Title in the Market to get that relevant information. We'd like the call number/classification information in the brief results on the Orders Awaiting Approval page to avoid this extra step.
