Cancellation notification to client if POL is not able to be supplier - Rialto
When creating a POL in Rialto, there is no functionality that enables the system to notify a client if a title is cancelled.
Manual intervention is required to notify a client if the title is cancelled within ALMA.
When an order is cancelled, Rialto generates a user notification to users with the role Rialto Manager. If you're not receiving a notification and it is appropriate for your role, you can have that role assigned to your user.
For more information about notifications, including this "Cancelled order" notification, see:

Hi,
We've just had an issue where we've discovered that Rialto POLs that are created through a purchase request and cancelled by the vendor (and automatically cancelled in Alma) do not send the cancellation notice to the interested user, despite the POL settings for the interested user saying it should.Effectively, it seems that the action of the POL being cancelled by the Rialto vendor does not actually connect properly with other Alma Acquisitions workflows. This was not clear to us when we implemented and decided to set up the automatic POL cancellation.
Can Ex Libris please clarify that this is indeed the case, and why? Rialto is supposed to be integrated within Alma but we're constantly discovering things that don't work like we've been told they do. We had smoother integration proceses with external vendors.

Hi John,
We are wanting the notifications to be sent to the Interested user attached to the POL not to the staff with a Rialto role.eg We are wanting a similar workflow where the interested user is notified upon activation of an ebook
Is this possible?
