  1. Email notifications for Lists in Rialto

An email notification triggered and sent to a user(s) when a list in Rialto is shared with them. Also, an email notification for when a name(s) is added to the comments from a list in Rialto.

Users will see a red icon alert in Alma but an email notification sent to their inbox would help for those who do not frequent Alma.

  2. Price Change Alert

Notify customers with an alert icon or popup when the price drops or increases for an item they have added to Cart or to a list.

In order to avoid alerts indicating insignificant increase or decrease (of a few cents for example), each customer should have the possibility to configure an alert threshold (as a percentage in 'Other Settings') in relation to the time when the item was originally added to Cart or the list.

  3. Circulation info under library activity

In the title alerts it shows that there is library activity, and I can see if we have an older edition of that title. It would be very helpful to be able to see the circulation information for the title we already have within the title alert. It helps us decide if it is worth purchasing a new edition, and I currently have to navigate out of Rialto to check our catalogue then try to navigate back to where I was on my list

  4. Notes in title alerts

To be able to add notes & comments to titles at the title alert level. Currently we are only able to add notes to the books once they have been added to a list.

  5. Wiley Online Major Reference Works

Some Wiley Online Major Reference Works are updating and therefore have ongoing costs associated. I would appreciate if this information is shown in Rialto so when considering the purchase of the title, the purchaser is aware of it being an updating reference work or not.

  6. Add to DDA as part of Cart workflow to allow for use of templates, interested user notifications, and notes

Currently, when adding a title to the DDA pool, selectors can only apply fund, ordering library, and various reporting codes the title. We are hoping to use our DDA for user requests and would like to notify the requesting users at the point when the title becomes available not when the title is eventually triggered. Furthermore, different selectors are applying different reporting codes for different titles when adding to the DDA pool. It would make things much more efficient if there was a way to template DDA additions.

All of these problems would be solved by allowing titles to be…

  7. Allow libraries to toggle the 'Approve and order' option in the 'Manage Purchase Requests' workflow

We’ve recently discovered that our librarians, despite only having the selector role in Rialto, and thus not being able to directly place orders, are still creating POLs in Alma by selecting the ‘Approve and order’ option in the ‘Manage Purchase Requests’ workflow.

In our case, a few dozen POLs were created that had no vendor, fund code, shelving location, no platform or access model for eBooks, and no format or edition for print titles. Getting all of this after the fact from the librarians then editing the POLs is quite cumbersome and undoes a lot of the efficiency Rialto otherwise…

  8. Faculty Request Functionality

When faculty use the request feature, their request are visible in Primo. Ideally, this will not be the case, so they won't see all their submitted and denied requests every time they log into their library account. Also, it would be ideal if these requests could be sent or assigned to a specific selector for review.

  9. Allow library to edit the Rialto purchase request form confirmation text

There is a green pop-up that appears when the purchase request form is submitted, and we would like this to be added to the form label table so that we can edit the text. Currently it says "Purchase request for {title} submitted".

  10. Allow Alma library relationships to control purchasing via Rialto

We want our staff to have Rialto roles that are scoped only to our National library, and don't want to have to give them Rialto roles that have any other scope. We want them to be able to order electronic books for the National Library, as well as physical books for the other libraries in the institution, but we only want them to be able to do all this while logged into our Acquisitions Department (which is granted to them via the Work Order Operator role having the Acquisitions Department associated).

We have Library relationships set up in Alma Configuration…

  11. Easy access to Rialto 'Orders awaiting approval'

Currently in Alma you can access the orders awaiting approval in the Tasks widget on the home screen. To get to Rialto orders awaiting approval there a two ways. Through the left flyout menu, taking a few clicks, or by going to settings on the Alma home screen and pinning the Task list (top Alma banner) and having Rialto show. Neither way is easy or convenient like the Tasks widget

  12. Display list owner name when viewing detailed information from the "In Other's List" tag

When looking at an item that is on another's list, one can hover over the tag to see the name of the list that the item is on. It would be helpful if the name of the owner of that list was also included in the information to facilitate communication about the title if necessary.

  13. Add ability to order Duke University Press ebooks to Rialto Market

Duke University Press is not currently available as a source publisher for ebooks in Rialto Market Offers. Please add Duke University Press to the options available on the New Platform Activation form, to support requesting activation of this new publisher platform for ordering in Rialto.
Ex Libris Support advises that this is an enhancement request, to gauge community interest.

  14. Allow for the removal, suppression, or the ability to null out the "Available Balance" in Rialto templates.

My institution would like a way to remove or otherwise alter the Available Funds amount show in individual selector templates. Selectors know the full collection budget but are allocated spending goals that allows us to account for over and under spending on the admin side. Having the full amount shown could cause confusion since the amount varies based on our different campuses that share the CD budget at varying amounts for each campus and, in some cases, assigned selector areas.

  15. Need easier way to navigate between lists and Alma searching

One cannot call up a list of new titles for review in Rialto and then search Alma for local usage of the same authors and subjects without losing one’s place on the original title alerts list. Resulting in multiple clicks to get back to one’s place on the list. In this common collection development scenario, the inability to perform Alma searches while reviewing an alerts list is an unexpected hindrance.

  16. Streamline Rialto related workflows for purchase request initiated order approvals, by Selector assignment redesign

When initiating a Rialto Market Order via a Purchase Request, there is an unexpected assignment of the order to the Selector after Sending for Approval.
This causes an additional unnecessary step navigating through a popup for our staff who are Approving the order, requiring them to change assignment from the Selector to the Approver, before they can Confirm approval.
This additional step only occurs when the starting point is a Purchase Request and does not happen when the starting point is the Market.

The expected workflow for the Selector:
Acquisitions > Purchase Requests > Manage Purchase Requests > Unassigned >…

  17. Improve Rialto Configuration visibility and editing access for the Rialto Administrator role

Currently Rialto is a ‘black box’ for a great deal of configuration which is controlled by Ex Libris and only visible to Ex Libris. For many settings, customers do not even have Read access, let alone Edit access. This issue is compounded by extremely minimal documentation on Rialto administration that configuration settings even exist at all and the options for them.
This leads to situations we have experienced where we began ordering physical titles through Rialto and were incorrectly billed in the wrong currency. And another where our EDI was not functioning as expected, due to invisible misconfiguration. And another…

  18. Expanding EBA Badge Options in Rialto

The EBA badge in Rialto is currently available only for a few platforms, Taylor & Francis and Ebook Central. The badge cannot be displayed for collections not hosted on these platforms or for locally created collections. It would be beneficial for libraries to have the option to control whether EBA collections appear in Rialto by adding the badge.

  19. Improve the ability to run concurrent fiscal years in Rialto

We generally run concurrent fiscal years in Alma for a short time while completing orders and invoices in one year and begin renewing resources and paying invoices in the next fiscal. When placing a manual POL in Alma a dropdown appears to choose a fund for either fiscal year. But in Rialto the POL defaults to the new fiscal year even if a cart template for the old fiscal year is used. Please align Rialto ordering with Alma and give the choice of using either fiscal year fund.

  20. Have weekly order status reports list ALL outstanding orders and indicate those with an updated status from the previous week.

I receive a report each Tuesday but it only shows orders with a change to the status. It would be more useful to me to have a report showing all open orders and some sort of indicator (or sorted in such a manner) that orders that have been updated (or added) since the previous week are included. I find some orders sit for weeks or months with no action and complete report of all titles would help me to keep better tabs on it.
