Request access to restricted files via the Research Portal
In 2020, an enhancement was released that allows repository staff to generate a temporary access link to restricted files. The 2022 roadmap included a second phase of this enhancement that promised a dedicated interface allowing users to request access to restricted files from the Research Portal. We request this enhancement be added back to the roadmap.

Continues to be part of longer term roadmap but no firm date yet so removed the "Planned" status.

It is very unfortunate to see this move to a lower priority as we are now seeing an increase in demand for dataset storage and folks who want controlled access with a way to request.
