Request to Add IP-Based Restrictions for Account Creation
I would like to request two improvements to the account creation settings in RefWorks:
- The ability to restrict account creation by IP address.
- The option to require both an approved IP address and an approved email domain for account creation.
These features would help improve security and limit access to authorized users only. I hope you will consider adding them in future updates.
Thank you.

Request to Add IP-Based Restrictions for Account Creation is the best way to know how we are dealing with it to get what we need. When I used http://brisbanehomerenovationexperts.com.au I saw many people need help to get the right solutions that are required.

I’ve encountered similar issues when managing access to online platforms, where unauthorized account creation caused some security concerns. Implementing IP-based restrictions alongside email domain verification could indeed streamline user management and enhance protection. In my experience, having multiple layers of approval reduces unwanted access significantly. It’s a practical approach that many services overlook but clearly benefits institutions handling sensitive information. For anyone looking for a break after managing such technical tasks, I’d suggest checking out Sprunki as an entertaining way to unwind.

This is a great idea! We had a similar issue limiting access to a library database. IP-based restrictions and email domain verification would be invaluable. It definitely cuts down on unauthorized access and misuse. In the meantime, if you need a break from security worries, have you tried that free online game, Snow Rider 3D? It's surprisingly addictive! Seriously though, I fully support this feature request for RefWorks. https://snowrider3dd.github.io

I strongly suggest implementing IP-based restrictions for new account creation. This could significantly reduce bot activity and spam on the forum. Imagine playing drift boss, you wouldn't want bots constantly interfering with your smooth drifts, right? Similarly, these restrictions help maintain a clean and enjoyable forum experience. Preventing multiple accounts from a single IP address makes it harder for malicious actors to flood our community. https://driftboss.lol
