Content

Your feedback matters to us. Help us to extend our discovery indexes, KnowledgeBases and Community Zone by telling us what collections and data you’d like to see us add, using the message areas below. You can also support something already posted.
If you are suggesting new content for Discovery that is not yet in the Knowledgebase you do not need to submit two entries (one for Discovery and one for Knowledgebase)
Specifically you can suggest:
• New collections for Discovery (Primo Central and Summon)
• New collections for the Knowledgebase (Alma CZ, SFX KB and 360 KB)
• New authority files to be added to the Community Zone
• Enrichment of Community Zone bibliographic records for certain collections

We would love to be able to respond to every idea that is submitted, but this is not feasible. We are, however, committed to responding to the most popular ideas—those that have received the most points.
For more information please review our FAQ and guidelines. Thank you.

How can we improve Content?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".

Enter your idea and we'll search to see if someone has already suggested it.

If a similar idea already exists, you can support and comment on it.

If it doesn't exist, you can post your idea so others can support it.

Enter your idea and we'll search to see if someone has already suggested it.

  4. Add Institution specific holdings feeds to Alma KB from more providers

Currently, the Alma knowledge base offers automated institution-specific holdings feeds from Elsevier and Ovid. These greatly reduce the amount of work required by libraries to maintain holdings.

It would be great if you could add feeds for JSTOR ebooks and EBSCO ebooks. These are currently being offered by other knowledge base providers.

  11. Journal & Highly Cited Data (JHCD) with Benchmarks & Analytics

The BCU Lausanne subscribs to the « Journal & Highly Cited Data (JHCD) with Benchmarks & Analytics » database, provided by Clarivate Analytics (ex Thomson Reuters). The Benchmarks & Analytics module is only accessible with a password.

We would like to activate this database in the Alma Community Zone, but we only found the « Journal & Highly Cited Data (JHCD) » electronic collection.

We ask you to include the « Journal & Highly Cited Data (JHCD) with Benchmarks & Analytics » in the CZ.

  12. COMPLIANCEDIGITAL

    Dear support

the titles in the attachment are ebook- and journal titles of publisher COMPLIANCEDIGITAL. We ask for the enrichment of the target COMPLIANCEDIGITAL, which already exists. Further we noticed that 2 ejournals are open access (see the green colored rowes in the appendix ).
If possible, we suggest an separate ebook-subtarget, a separate subtarget for the open access journals and an third subtarget for the chargeable journals .

    Best regards
    A.Schantz

  14. Add eMarketer for discovery

eMarketer is an aggregator of marketing research related to online marketing and e-commerce. Its inclusion in Primo Central and Summon would benefit those libraries that have large business collections.

  17. Target/Collection: Geological Society of America

The Geological Society of America content has moved from HighWire Press to GeoScienceWorld. Currently, the GSA content is available through the Highwire Press Geological Society of America collection, but links from this collection are re-directing to the GeoScienceWorld site, with mixed results.

Please create a new 'GeoScienceWorld Geological Society of America' collection and set up portfolios linking the GSA content to the GeoScienceWorld platform. For example, the Geological Society of America Bulletin (ISSN: 0016-7606) should now link to the following URL: https://pubs.geoscienceworld.org/gsabulletin/

  18. Don't list 1science oaFindr PCI collection as open access

Not a new collection, but a revision to an existing collection. We have activated the oaFindr PCI collection from 1science, and we've run into a problem. We noticed that the proxy string wasn't being added to these links, because it has been marked as an Open Access collection. While the full text is OA, linking passes through oaFindr, which requires authentication. So the links are not really free to read, and should not be marked as such. We do not wish to proxy all OA materials, so we'd prefer to see this marked as a subscription access database, as access…

  20. British Standards Online database - create a JISC-only sub collection

We have access to the British Standards Online database via a JISC deal which whilst it includes access to more than 60,000 standard it does not include all British Standards Online database content. We have this activated on PCI in order to access the full text, which presents an issue when unsubscribed content is located as this shows as full text available, when in fact this is outside of our subscription. PCI activations does not split the content but activates the database in entirety.

We use Alma and Primo, again only the database in entirety is available to track via…
